Escape The Dead

Chapter 27- Stolen Research!

"Dr. Adam! We have to get out of here!" Tyler busted through the door to Dr.Adam's office.

Everyone walked in and saw paperwork all over the floor. Dr.Adam was going through desk, drawers, cabinets and random folders and files.

"I can't find it. It has to be here. It can't be lost," Dr. Adam whispered to himself.

"Dr. Adam what are you doing?" Jack asked.

"My research! The other half of my research is missing!" He yelled.

"So? Most of your research is on the helicopter. You don't need to bring the whole laboratory," Johnny said.

"You don't understand, without that other half of the research I can't complete the antidote."

"What's the other half of the research about? Is it really that important?" Peyton asked.

"It's really important. I can't finish the antidote with out it. And what else I can't let it fall into the wrong hands." Dr. Adam's expression became really dark.

"What... is... the research?" Gina growled.

"That other half of the research... is on how to revive the dead," said Dr.Adam.

Gina's face became pale "Start searching! Everyone!" Gina started to go through the files of paper.

Everyone started to search for the paperwork. Nicole and Matt decided to check the other rooms. Zoie and Joe went with Nicole and Matt. Everyone flipped the Laboratory inside out trying to fine the paperwork on reviving the dead. But no one could find it.

"I'm sorry Dr. Adam. We can't fine it, we checked everywhere," said Matt.

"No, no, that can't be." Dr. Adam slumped into the black cushion chair placing is arm over his eyes. Then he sat up straight with fear in his eyes. "What if someone stole it? They could be reading that research right now without me knowing!"

"Dr. Adam, we're surrounded by zombies. I don't think anyone would steal research papers other than running for their life," Zoie chuckled.

"Hey, Gina?" Jillian tugged on Gina's hood.

"What is it Jill?"

"Remember the time where I mentioned about how some other zombies don't have bit marks," said Jillian.

Everyone looked at Jillian. Dr. Adam stare at Jillian with dark eyes.

"You don't think..."

"Jill, you're thinking to much. No one knows about Dr.Adam's research and plus, there's no way one person can bring back that many undead... right?" Gina looked over to Dr.Adam.

Everyone also looked at Dr. Adam. He only stared back at Gina. The look in his eyes said everything.

"Let's just get out of here, no use in looking anymore." Dr. Adam stood up walking towards the door. "Everything's packed?"

"Yeah, everything's packed and ready to go," Tyler said.

Everyone walked out to the helicopter. This time it was a different helicopter. This forest green helicopter was a lot bigger than the one they ride. It even has missile launchers on each side.

"That's a huge helicopter. Did you steal that from the military too, like you did with the weapons?" Gina crossed her arms.

"I preferred the word borrow, and yes, this is from the military. It can hold up to about 13 people including the pilot as well, also its loaded with fire power," said Johnny.

"Impressive," Gina nodded.

"Come on, let's get going, our destination is Europe," Dr. Adam said holding the map.

"Wait!? Europe!? Why?" Joe asked.

"Europe is our safest bet right now. Zombies are roaming all around North and South America. Since zombies can't swim the continent across the Atlantic Ocean should be zombie free," said Dr. Adam.

"He makes a valid point," said Matt.

"I can also finish the antidote over there," said Dr. Adam.

"Ok then let's-"

Nicole was interrupted by the sight of werewolves running towards them. Howls could be heard in the distance and everyone could see a pack of black wolves coming closer and closer.

"Go! In the helicopter! NOW!" Gina ordered.

Tyler slid the big door open as everyone dashed into the forest green helicopter. Johnny got in the pilot seat and started the engine. Jack could see the wolves getting closer, too close in fact.

"What's taking so long?!" Jack yelled.

"Calm down! The rotor needs time to spin so it can create some lift," Johnny explained.

Gina slid the door open and aimed at the closest werewolf with her sniper. She took aim and shot one wolf in the eye bringing it down. She shot again and again killing each werewolf with each bullet she shot. The helicopter finally started to move, it flew higher and higher as Gina kept aiming. Until they were high enough where the wolves can't reach, Gina pulled back seeing all the wolves howling in the space where the helicopter once was. Gina closed the door and sat down next to Jack. Gina sighed as Jack pulled her closer to him. Gina rested her head on Jack's shoulder and nuzzled into his neck as she closed her eyes. Everyone had a tough day, they all fell asleep as Johnny piloted the helicopter into the sunset.

Someone took Dr. Adam's research! Who exactly is the real, real mastermind behind the zombie apocalypse? And will everyone be safe going to Europe. Will there be zombies in Europe? Let all the questions be answered in a few chapters, until then, thank u (^-^)
