"Draco...I'm fine" I said as I placed the towel between my legs. I went and sat next to him as I stroked the back of my neck. He turned as he looked me up and down. "I was mad and...I took it out on you" he said as he rubbed my cheek. I smiled. "I didn't mind it" he let out a small smile. As I moved back he laid down in my arms. I scratched his head as he slowly fell asleep. That night I found myself tossing and turning.

I looked over to the clock and noticed it was 1:23 am. I looked over to draco. He slept peacefully on his pillow as he snored softly. I removed my hand from him as I wiggled out of the sheets. I walked to the door quietly and made my way down to the kitchen for a drink.

As I walked down I saw lucis sitting on the dining table as he drunk wine himself. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to" he cut me off. "Gabriel Starmay...my was he a good friend" he said as he span the remainder of wine in his glass. "Yes my father was" I said as I walked closer to him. "You know he was adventurous...like you I assume...that is why you are walking around a manner of death eaters by yourself" he laughed as he drunk. "Yes...in I needed some water" I said as I laughed. "Join me!" He said as he pulled a glass out from the cabinet behind him.

"Sorry sir I don't drink" I said as I smiled up to him. "Dont be shy...I'm sure your father would of loved this red wine" he said as he pored me a glass. "It seems to me that you too were closer" I said as I sat down next to him. He handed me the wine.

"Brothers almost" he said as he stared into the distance. "Yes I was close with my father too...that is until he left with no trace of course" I said as I looked down into my glass. "He talked of you while he was gone...and your mother...he didn't want to leave you behind...but he truly believed it was for the best" he said as he took a drink.

"Why exactly did my father leave" I asked as I looked up to lucis. He looked over to me upset but answered slowly. "When I was put into askaban....your father was one of none who fought to get me out...when he did we were left with two options" he said as he looked into the distance again. I leant forward on the table. "What exactly were the options" I asked.

"Stay prisoner and be killed...or work for the dark lord...your father thought I would choose to be prisoner with him and fight for our wizardry rights...but I left him...alone in the cell" he said as he sculled his drink.

"I had a family...I had my son...I had life in general...I couldn't leave...not like that" he said as he started to tear up. "Your father he was completely mad...but he knew you could live without him...he would of never left if he thought you wouldn't survive without him" lucis said as he looked up to me on the verge of crying.

"I should of told him to come with me...tell him we could leave the dark side some how...but he didn't want to risk it...not for his family...not for you" lucis said as he pored more wine in his glass. I took a sip of mine.

                            2 years ago in askaban
"Gabriel...they will kill you if you stay" lucis said as he tried to pull his friend from the cell. "I would rather be dead then fight for any dark side...and so should you" gabriel said as he pulled his arm out of lucis grip. "But you wife...your daughter" lucis questioned.. "they will live...a long happy life together...no duty to the dark lord" Gabriel said as he smiled up to lucis. "What about me....how do you expect me to leave your side" lucis said as he began to cry.

"Because when you leave...I will set a quest for you...three tasks I ask you complete...that way...you leave helping me" Gabriel smiled. "Tell me..I will complete" lucis said as he hugged Gabriel tight.

"One...for every moment your heart beats...it beats so you can provide the best life for your family...two...with your hands I ask you work hard and never give up....and with your grasp...I ask you cherish my daughter as your own" he whispered in lucis ear... he didn't respond...he stood and started blankly.

"I ask that these quest remain as your duty until your lungs stop filling with air" he begged to lucis as he held their fist closely together. "But..." lucis was cut off. "Now I want you to leave with the guards...leave looking forward...Dont for one second turn back...not to say goodbye...or see me the last time...for we will meet again...one way or another...we will reunite...my brother" Gabriel said as he slowly turned lucis into the arms of the guards.

Lucis walked away with them...he didn't turn back...not even once...not for anything...for he would always hold his promise.

                        Present time Gabriella POV
As lucis finished explaining the night he left my father I found myself tearing up. "I could only forfill two of my quest....hear and hands...now I need to complete grasp....I ask that you let me finish my last one" lucis said as he he stood up. "You did the right thing lucis...and I may not be Gabriel but...I'm his daughter and I'm thanking you for walking away...because my father needed to know you were okay...now he does" I said as I stool with him. I reached out my arms and lucis pulled me into a tight embrace.

"What the fuck" Draco said as he walked down the stairs rubbing his eyes. "Draco!" I said as I looked over shocked. "Care to explain why you are drinking wine and hugging my father at 2:00am" he said as he looked over confused. Lucis and I laughed. "Me and your father have more in common then you think" I laughed as I walked over to draco. "Yeah...that makes one of us" he laughed as he threw his arm around me. "See you later father" draco said as he walked with me back up the stairs. I looked back down to lucis. Noticed he was smiling to himself as he watches us...I know my father would of been smiling too.

As Draco and I walked back into the room we slid into his silk bed. It felt cold on my skin again...but this time I was at ease. "We have school tomorrow" draco moaned and whined as he hugged me. "You have a quidditch game against Harry too" I laughed as he turned to face him. "You better be wearing a Slytherin jersey" he joked as he tickled me. "Mmm...I might need to think that one through" I joked as I kissed his cheek. I roled over and Draco cuddled me from behind. "Missy" he said as he kissed the back of my neck.... "I love you" his warm breath sent shivers down my spine. "I love you more" I said as I smiled to myself......
