The next morning Spencer woke early, before Amelia, something that rarely happened. He stretched, thinking about their conversation the night before. Sharing his worries from a case with Amelia was something he had tried to avoid in the past. But waking up from the night before, when she'd comforted him as he recalled the case to her, he had to admit he felt less heavy, as if she'd taken some of the burden from his shoulders. He rolled onto his side, gently sliding his arm around her waist and pulling her into his chest as he nuzzled his face into her hair.

The sunlight streaming in the window was still a gentle, morning glow full of peaches and pinks, warming Amelia's skin. Spencer looked down at her, smiling as he thought of the first morning he'd woken up before her in the hotel in Philadelphia. Her hair was still just as wild, just as untamable as his own. Except now, he didn't hesitate to twirl a curl around his finer, to gently trace her cheekbone lightly under his finger.

"Mm, hi" Amelia whispered, rolling over to burry her face in his chest.

"Gooood morning, angel. Sorry if I woke you up."

"S'okay, you didn't." Spencer smiled, he rarely got to hear her squeaky, coffee-less morning voice. Not only did she usually wake up before him, but she usually had went ahead and had at least one cup of coffee by the time he woke up. It always amazed him how, even unemployed, she was such a morning person, but waking up to her energy made it that much easier for him to face the day.

"Why are you so.. so awake?" He couldn't help but chuckle as she looked at him in confusion, her eyes barely open.

"Dunno, just woke up on the right side of the bed I guess."

"Huh, well maybe you can channel some of that energy into coffee?" She rolled onto her back, stretching her arms over head as she let out a sigh. Spencer rolled on top of her, pressing a kiss on her forehead.

"On it, baby." She grinned up at him.

"I like morning Spencer, you should wake up early with me more often."

"Let's not push it" he laughed. "Alright, coffee." He climbed out of bed, slipping into a robe as he padded out into the kitchen. As he hit the start button on the coffee pot, he heard Amelia scream in the bedroom.

Spinning away from the counter, Spencer nearly lost his footing as he sped toward the bedroom, flinging the door open.

"Amelia?" He yelled, not seeing her right away. He heard the bathroom door open and quickly went over to her, grabbing her shoulders as his training kicked in. He assessed her physical condition while also scanning the empty bathroom behind her. "What.. why did you yell?"

He looked at her as she stared at her phone, as she slowly held it up to him. He grabbed it from her hand and began reading aloud.

"Hi Amelia, it was great to meet you on Monday.. impressed by your experience.. easy to recognize your empathy and intentions.. I would like to officially offer you the position of legal and medical advocate for the DC Crisis Center." Spencer stopped reading, looking at Amelia. Her jaw still hung open, as if she needed to hear him read it to her for her to believe it.

"Lee, you got it!" He grabbed her shoulders again, waiting until it registered with her before reacting. He watched as a smile slowly broke out on her face, feeling one form on his own.

"I.. I got it. I got the job."

"Hell yeah you did" he whooped as he picked her up and spun her around the room in circles. Amelia's laughter rang out around them, filling the room, as both of their excitement grew.  Spencer set her down on her feet, her face pink with excitement. Her toothy grin remained plastered on her face, and Spencer didn't think it was going anywhere any time soon.
