2 Moons The Beginning

New Friends

     Phana was staring at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. He had just showered and dressed in his school
uniform. His two friends Beam and Kit are sitting in his room discussing the upcoming meeting for the Freshy Night competition.

     Pha called his friends last night and urged them to come over when he got the summons to attend the meeting.

     Once they arrived he begged them to go with him. As an incentive he told them that all the new stars would be there.

     Beam jumped at the chance to go. He was known in high school as a Casanova and has already started up again the first week in University.

     Kit didn't want to be left out so he agreed to tag along.

Pha now finished getting ready motioned to his friends to come along as it was time to leave.

     When they arrived at the Moon and Star Competition practice room, there were screams and giggles coming from the Stars that had arrived ahead of them.

Pha didn't even look at them. He just went to sit by a guy who looked as if he didn't want to be there anymore than he did.

      Beam and Kit smiled and waved at the girls before following their friend.

"Hey. You look as though you want to be here as much as I do. My name is Phana or Pha and these are my friends Beam and Kit. We are in the Medical Faculty." Pha introduced himself and his friends.

" I'm Forth Jaturapoom. Just call me Forth. It's nice to meet you guys. No, I ,definitely, do not want to be here. It is punishment for being late to the assembly for picking of the Moon and Star.

     Since I was late the Head Hazer Bohn named me as a candidate. Unfortunately, the rest of the students picked me even though I was practically killing them with a death glare.

     So here I sit waiting for this train wreck to end, so me and the boys can go drink." Forth slumped back in his chair, surreptitiously looking at Beam.

      Damn, that boy is fine. Unfortunately, he looks too straight and soft. I would break him in half. Hmmm, too bad.

     "Now that sounds like a good idea. Do you mind if a few Medical guys tag along with you Engineering fellows?" Beam asked excitedly almost bouncing on his toes with a grin from ear to ear.

     What, is he trying to kill me? Down Forth! He is not for you. You can't just grab the pretty doctor-to-be and throw him over your shoulder before marching out of this stupid practice room.

     Pha and Kit looked at a grinning Beam then at each other. Beam never invites himself to go out with a group of guys...girls yes...guys no. What the hell is going on with their friend?

     OMG! OMG! OMG! What the hell am I doing?! I never ask to tag along to drink with someone I just met!

     "Sure more the merrier. Anyway, not wanting to sound rude, but if he is the Medical Moon, why are you two here?" Forth asked pointing at Kit and Beam.

Both boys pointed at Pha and said simultaneously, "He made us!"

     Forth started laughing so hard that his side hurt.

     "OMG! You guys are crazy! Hahahahaha!" Forth just continued to laugh and drew the attention of everyone else.

     "Alright boys and girls, let's gather around please. Is everyone here? Yes, it looks like it.

     So, this year there will be a dance number performed at the beginning by the entire group! I'm so excited!" Pha and Forth looked at each other and grimaced.

Whispering, Pha stated to Forth, "I could really use that drink right about now."

     "Mmmhmm, me too." Forth replied while nodding his head.

     Movement by the door caught his attention. When he looked over he saw Bohn standing there with a really cute boy.

    Forth was shocked when he saw Bohn lean over and place a kiss on the boy's cheek causing him to blush scarlet and punch him on his arm.

     Bohn laughed and pulled the boy to him and hugged him. The boy hid his face but before he did Forth saw the grin he was hiding.

     I wonder who the boy is? He looked back over to the dance instructor but saw Pha looking at the doorway too with a look of shock.

     I will have to remember to ask him later what it was that surprised him.

     Six hours later practice was over and the students were allowed to leave. But first they were reminded to come early the next day for promotional pictures.

     "So Forth, how was dance practice?", asks a snickering Lam.

     "Lam shut the fuck up before I kick your ass!" Forth shouted.

     "UGH! I can't believe I am having to do this!"

     "Me to brother, me too!" Phana holds his glass up, "A toast to old friends" looks at Beam and Kit, " and new friends." nodding to Forth and the rest of the guys from Engineering.

They all yell,  "TO NEW FRIENDS!".
