Hihihi, I am new to writing and don't have much knowledge about it. But, I have decided to give it a shot. I won't be writing actual stories, just little ideas or scenes from my head. This is my first piece. These are not true stories, but some facts are based off of my life. Anyways, I'm open to any critques or suggestions about my writing, just let me know in the comments! Thanks! ~~~Smurfette

Ugh, the guy next to me reeks. He smells like armpit. He obviously left his deodorant at home. Why do I have to sit next to the smelliest passenger? Luckily, I brought my Victoria's Secret body spray. Oh, he's sleeping! Well, don't mind me sir...

"What are you doing?" my friend Rose snaps next to me.

"What?", I shrug my shoulders like there's nothing wrong with spraying a man with Sexy Angel perfume, "It's not like it'll wake him up; he's out cold. Though, I don't know how; it is extremely uncomfortable in these seats."

"We are on an airplane with tons of other people; if you spray that than everyone is going to choke on it for eight hours! Plus, it is profoundly rude" she retorts.

"Well then, open a window."

"Again, we are on an airplane; the windows are sealed shut. The loss of air pressure would kill you if you managed to open it."

Alright then, sorry Victoria, looks like you have to go back in my bag.

People say that traveling allows you to develop a more cultural aspect. You become more well-rounded and open to different options and ideas. You learn from the history and the different ways of living of others. And apparently, that is influential on how to live your own life to its fullest extent. Isn't that cheesy? Live life to the fullest. I never did. Until now. I never saw any reason to leave home. I had a nice bed, good food, and lovely people. I was content in my small suburban home town. My family lived a couple houses over and I had this little cabin in the woods. At times, it was hard to invite people over because they thought I was some kind of axe murderer. Then, Rose came home from her trip to Mexico and told me all about the views and the foods. That was when I realized: I didn't know everything I wanted to know about this little, wonderful world we live in. It was time to have a mediocre mattress, extravagant tastes, and interesting individuals. So, Rose and I grabbed the earliest tickets for Paris, deciding that would be our first stop.

We are all decked out: maps, cameras, sunglasses, raincoats, guide books. I had to run out and get myself a passport. It was then that I realized that I had never been on a plane before. Heck, I'd never even been on a roller coaster. I grew terrified. Flying at hundreds of miles per hour at an impossible altitude?! Rose told me to imagine I was a bird finally ready to spread my wings.

Yeah, that didn't help.

Anyway, here I am sitting next to a guy with potato chip crumbs in his beard. Paris better be worth it. I can see it now: the food, the language, the sites, the cafés... the men. Yes, to all you young, good-looking french gentlemen, I am single and ready to mingle! Okay, I did not just say that. If you could not already guess, my life has been very unfulfilled in every aspect. Only 7 more hours...

Finally! Je suis en gay Paris!
And it's snowing! Oh, how I love the crisp white snowflakes on my eyelashes, with the Seine in my peripheral vision. So far, Rose and I have had breakfast on the terrace of our hotel room in the 7th Arrondessement overlooking the Eiffel Tower, visited the Louvre and the Mona Lisa, had lunch in a small crêperie, and walked across le Pont des Arts; and there is still so much left to do! God, I love this city. (A/N I really do.) I am already planning what to put in the apartment I'm going to buy in the 16th Arrondessement.
