"But you'll be good without me."

- Tory Kelly

Jungkook's POV

I've been waiting for Jasmine in her driveway for 5 minutes. I called her to inform her of my arrival, but she didn't answer. I get out of the car and head to the front door to ring the doorbell. I hear rushing footsteps before the door opens revealing Rashawn.

He sighs and holds onto his chest.

"Thank God the bus isn't here, yet," he says out of breath.

I furrow my eyebrows at him. Rashawn's eyes widen and his mouth forms an "oh" shape.

"The bus picks me up in front of the house since the stop sign is literally right there," he says as he points behind me. "And I'm usually late, so my bus driver has someone ring the doorbell when the bus arrives."

Rashawn tilts his head and gives me a confused look.

"Why are you here?" He asks.

"I'm picking up Jasmine," I respond.

Rashawn's mouth makes a thin line before he grits his teeth in an awkward manner.

"She already left for school with Troy," Rashawn says.

"Really?" I say in disbelief. "I was supposed to pick the both of them up."

Rashawn gives me a look of guilt before patting my shoulder.

"Sorry, man. She probably forgot," he says. "But I gotta go. My bus is here."

He runs past me before waving goodbye to me when he gets to the bus's doors.

I take long strides to my 2014 black Honda Civic and once I get in, I pull out of the driveway in one swift motion before heading to the school.

When I pull into the school's parking lot, I spot Briana leaving her car. She waves at me when she notices me parking next to her. I get out of the car and give her a small smile.

"What's up hot stuff?" She says before smacking the side of my arm.

"Heyyyyy," I say in an awkward tone.

I rub my ears to ease the heat and redness that Briana caused with her remark.

Jasmine's car is parked in its original spot and her car is running. I  spot a male figure in the passenger seat. I can't tell who it is since they have a white hood on and are facing away from the window. Plus, they look too tall to be Troy, unless Troy is sitting on a booster seat.

Briana and I head over to Jasmine's car. When we arrive, Briana puts her fist up to knock but instead of knocking, she keeps it in the air. I look from the side of her and see Jasmine hugging the person. Her chin rests on their shoulder as she rubs their back with her right manicured hand.

After starring at the window, bewildered, for a minute, Briana's fist comes rapping down onto the car window. Jasmine looks up and when she makes eye contact with me, her brown eyes widen to the size of softballs. She looks as if she got caught stealing one of my hoodies from my closet.

She releases the person and gets out of the car. She takes quick steps and stops at the hood of her car.

"Briana--"

"Girl, what did I just see?" She asks as she crosses her arms.

Jasmine gives her an uneasy look before pouting. She tilts her head slightly and blinks her eyes twice. Briana sticks her left hand out and shakes her hand, probably waiting for a response. The girls don't speak and only exchange these gestures to one another.
