Blizzard in the Desert

10- Ready or not....

Everyone was present in the meeting room except for Liz. Karina thought it would be best to avoid the stress over the poor woman, since she could give birth any day now.

The group listened closely as Karina explained to them what had occured in the cells.
Hellboy growled, Abe, who had his arms crossed seem to tensen at the situation, Nuala's brows were furrowed and Nuada seemed like he was about to storm towards the cells himself and beat up the prisoner.

Nuala, seeing that the men were having a hard time controlling their anger, interfered.

''So let us list all the things we know. Our attackers are a group of Druids, which practice magic, some are actually pyrokinetic, like Liz. We know that they are up to no good and therefore they are trying to get rid of us, but, now we also know that even if Karina lost the battle that day, she would have been captured instead of killed. Their so called 'king' might also be the one Karina faught with, because in the end, they are just but a clan. A large one, but still just a group of people. Although, it is also possible that he is simply second in command, therefore the real king might be in their hiding place, waiting for the right moment to strick and capture Karina. So the first option of the man in the mask being king, isn't our case''

''It is not something I will allow.'' Interjected Nuada.

''Nuada-'' But Nuala was interrupted by her brother once more. ''I said I SHALL NOT ALLOW IT!.''

Silence reigned over the room.

''WE, shall not allow it. We are very close to knowing the truth. We can't just sit back and wait.''

''That wasn't the option here pal, we are doing all we can. We are at risk too here.'' Growled out HB.

''Well then; does anyone have a plan so far?'' The eleven prince asked. Silence once again.

''Well I do. I think if we head to my kingdom, we will discover more about this clan in particular and have at least the necessary information we need into possibly finding them.''

But that was when Nuala spoke once more. This time; in a language no one had ever heard. She walked quickly up to her brother and began speaking in a rush. She seemed anxious and a bit angry. An emotion people rarely got to see on the princess.
Nuada's brows furrowed together, as he spoke back in the same language. He quickly glanced at Karina's way, which she did not miss and had her puzzled at whatever they could possibly be talking about.

''Nuada, Nuala, I am sorry to interrupt but, could you please..include us in your conversation?'' Abe said trying to ease the tension between the siblings.
The two turned to look at him briefly, stayed silent for a moment, before Nuala spoke up.

''I was simply offering to go back to our home in my brothers stead.''

Abe and Hellboy knew very well why she had to go instead of her brother. The two glancing at Karina only to see that she was still looking confused at the hole situation with an innocent look on her face.
It was then, that Abe and Hellboy seemed to have a mind link connection; for they both looked at each other with worry in their eyes.

''She doesn't know...''

''I don't understand why you two had to fight on who should go first. I mean, I have to say, that is the first time I see you two fight, even so, why can't you both go together? Maybe I could come with?''

''No my love. My sister is simply worried that I'll bring too much attention since I have been away for quite some time and we absolutely do not need distractions around us, especially unwanted attention.'' Nuada said softly, as him and his future queen were heading to his room.
They weren't sharing a room so far, despite Karina said that she would have been fine with it. He still thought that it was still best if she had her own room to her own privacy, for they weren't wedded. She blushed at the statement but she couldn't help but feel like he said that just to make up an excuse, for after those words left his lips, Nuada couldn't seem to control his reddened face, and that made her think that there was another reason behind his decision, other than marriage.
