Katelyn and Hermione were sitting in the courtyard reading through their textbooks for the year. The two were head-to-head when it came to academics but they always helped each other. The teachers were always partnering them up and they always got amazing grades.

Hermione and Katelyn were best friends. No question about that. The two were attached to the hip just like Ron and Harry were. George, Fred, and their friend Lee Jordan were together a lot so it left Katelyn and Hermione some peace and quiet especially when they wanted to study.

Katelyn has been stressed lately because of all the work piling up from her classes - which she gets done two weeks before it's due just like Hermione - she also has the Slytherin Quidditch team.

It needed to be her main priority and it has been which has resulted in the Bandits drifting apart a little. They still ate together and shared stories but they didn't hang out as much. Fred, Harry, and George were always together during Quidditch but never talking, Hermione was always in the library, and Ron...well who knows what Ron does during that time.

Katelyn had to take some time for them which she gladly did and it offered her a break from her stressful life. SHE WAS ELEVEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Hermione had reprimanded her when Katelyn told her she thought of resigning. Yeah, that did not go over well.

So as Hermione and Katelyn sat in the courtyard taking notes on their textbooks they were basking in the peaceful silence with the occasional bird chirping. They weren't expecting Marcus Flint to be an asshole.

But of course...Katelyn couldn't have one day.

It first started when Katelyn's book flew out of her hand and half-way across the courtyard. Hermione and Katelyn turned they're sharp glared at the boy clad in a Slytherin quidditch sweater, black khakis, and black dress shoes.

He was grinning wickedly, "well well well! Look what we have here. Thing one and thing two!" His friends laughed as Katelyn stood up. Hermione was quickly putting their stuff away. "You're disgusting" he spat at Katelyn, "hanging out with a filthy mudblood! You're a Slytherin, you are superior to those peasants!"

Katelyn whipped out her wand and put it to the boy's neck. Her eyes were lit in anger and obvious annoyance. She pushed her wand farther into the boy's neck making him gag slightly, "apologize" she growled menacingly.

His eyes flashed, "for what?! Being better than her?! I don't think so" he pushed her back.

Katelyn ripped his sweater and threw it to the ground, "you don't deserve this. You aren't on my blood team! Slytherin's aren't just superior! They are determined, ambitious, cunning! All of you that think you are better than anyone has mommy or daddy issues, you get everything you want in your pathetic little lives, and you are spoiled rotten! Muggleborns have a right to be here just as much as you do Flint" she spat angrily.

"So listen up and listen good, I'm giving you one chance to say your bloody sorry to my best friend who is sooooo much better than you at EVERYTHING and is of purer blood than you, you filthy pureblood supremacist! If you chose not to then I swear to Voldermort-" everyone flinched "-I will hex you until you are a worthless lump on the ground. So I suggest you say your bloody sorry"

Marcus's face was as white as a sheet of muggle paper. His friends were staring wide-eyed and jaws dropped at her as her wand dug into Flint's neck.

He looked at Hermione, "s-sorry Hermione" then the group ran off. Katelyn put her wand away and turned around. Fred, George, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were staring at her slack-jawed and with newfound respect.

"Brilliant!" Ron said, "but scary." The others nodded. Katelyn grinned.

A Week Later

Fred hugged her as she crumbled under the pressure of everything going on in her life. He whispered soothing nothings in her ear as she sobbed into his chest. Katelyn was helping Fred with some of his second-year work when she had finally snapped.

"So Riddikulous is the only charm that defeats a...dementor?" Fred had asked hesitantly.

"NO!" Katelyn snapped as she slammed the book closed.

Fred looked down, "sorry...I'm not very good at this" he sighed.

Tears pricked Katelyn's eyes, "no no no...I'm sorry I shouldn't have snapped like that! I've just been so overwhelmed and I-I-" she broke off as she choked on a sob.

That's how they got here. Katelyn was sitting in Fred's lap with her hands clutching his Gryffindor jumper as she cried into his chest. Fred was running her fingers through her reddish-blonde hair which calmed her down.

Katelyn moved her head to his neck after she stopped crying and ran one of her hands through his red hair. "Everything is going to be fine, Duke" he whispered as he rested his head on top of hers.

I hope you're right, she thought.

This one is shorter than the others because I couldn't think of what else to do.

In this story, Fred and George are only a year old than Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Katelyn. So is Cedric Diggory.

Hope you enjoyed it ;)
