╚»All I want to do is keep her safe.«╝
★--------SURPRISINGLY LILY SAID YES TO JAMES, Stephanie truly thought she would say no but actually said yes.
"Lily doesn't like anything extravagant, just take her to the field and I'm sure she will enjoy it." James nodded as he paced back and forth in the common room, Stephanie leaned her head on the head rest of the couch as she watched him.
"You'll be fine, Potter." She said, making him stop pacing around.
"Just don't be weird." He rolled his eyes playfully as he smiled, she smiled also until it faltered when she saw Lily come down from the stairs. She wore an overall dress with a long sleeve under it and a beret, James looked in awe. Stephanie's face arched in a smile again, she knew Lily deserved someone like James.
"You look great, Evans." Lily's face flushed red as she nodded and said thank you.
"Well, you two should be going off now, make sure you have her back before dinner." Stephanie pointed her finger at James playfully, James nodded before taking Lily's hands. Stephanie's eyes fell on their hands before flickering back to James's face with a force smile.
"Thanks again, Lion." Stephanie nodded as she watched them walk out of the common room. Stephanie fell back onto the couch as she sighed, she still hasn't figured out her feelings. And to be completely honest, she didn't want to know because if she figured it out, she was afraid it would ruin everything.
Stephanie hissed in pain as the similar head pain visited her again, she rubbed her temples as the pain got more painful. Her vision became blurry and her eyes became heavy, she felt her palms become sweaty and her body started to shake uncontrollably.
Hisses, was the only thing she could hear. It was ringing in her ears, she felt like someone was sitting on her chest when she started feeling out of breath. Her eyes fell close and all she saw was black and a boy, it was the same boy she saw on the train.
"My darling, you look just like her." He whispered; Stephanie started breathing heavily. She felt shivers go down her back as she tried to pull away from the boy but he held onto her wrist. His touch wasn't warm, it felt cold and icy.
"Don't be scared, darling." She felt tears go down her face as the pain became worse and worse. The boy wiped her tears away with his thumb, Stephanie looked into his dark eyes. It was soulless yet beautiful.
"Stephanie!" She heard echo; the boy's face twisted into a sinister smile.
"I'll see you soon, my love" He kissed her cheek before disappearing, the pain became more intense that she started screaming as it felt like someone was ripping her head open.
"Stephanie! Please wake up!" She felt someone try shaking her but she couldn't open her eyes.
"Stephanie! Please!" The voice cried; she couldn't open them. Tears fell down her face as she heard the voice cry out.
"Call Pomfrey!"
"Please Stephanie!" Was the last thing she heard before she stopped being able to move.
"YOU SHOULD GO AND REST, POTTER."
"I will soon."
"Potter." The voice said sternly, Stephanie started feeling more conscious as she slowly tried opening her eyes. She then felt the side of her dip down and a hand on her hand.
"It's okay, Lion. Take your time." He said softly as he squeezed her hand, she fluttered eyes open.
"James." She croaked; her throat was extremely dry that she could barely talk. Pomfrey took notice as she gave James a cup of water, James helped Stephanie sit up seemingly since she could barely move a finger. He took the cup of water and brought the cup to her lips so she could drink it.
"I'm going to go tell Dumbledore you have woken up, Potter watch after her." James nodded, focusing on Stephanie who was still drinking the water. Pomfrey smiled at the two teenagers, before leaving the hospital wing.
Once Stephanie was done drinking the water, James helped Stephanie lay back down. Stephanie took notice of his appearance; he wore plaid pajama bottoms and a grey jumper. His hair was messier than usual and he had dark circles around his eyes.
"How long was I out for?" Stephanie asked as James fixed her pillow behind her head.
"A week." Stephanie's eyes widen before nodding.
"Who found me?" Her eyes followed him as he sat back down on a chair.
"Sirius, Remus and Peter." Stephanie flashbacks of that day, that boy popped into her mind. His sinister smile was imprinted in her mind then his words played in her head.
"My darling, you look just like her." What did he mean by that? Those words rang through her head.
"Stephanie." Stephanie snapped out of her thought as she turned to James who was looking somewhere else, she followed his gaze and saw professor McGonagall and Dumbledore.
"Potter, you should go back to your common room. We would like to talk to Miss Rose by herself." Stephanie turned to look at James, he turned to Stephanie before sighing in nodding.
James stood up and leaned down to peck her cheek, "I'll see you after." He whispered before leaving the hospital wing.
Stephanie sighed as she turned back to McGonagall and Dumbledore, "Miss Rose, we're glad you are feeling better." Dumbledore said as he walked closer to Stephanie's bed.
"Thank you, sir." He nodded.
"Do you remember what happened, Miss Rose?" McGonagall asked, Stephanie nodded as she slowly sat up.
"I remember saying goodbye too, James and Lily. After they left, I got a severe headache." Both Dumbledore and McGonagall look at each other before looking back at Stephanie.
"Have you gotten these kinds of headaches before?" Stephanie nodded; Stephanie could see McGonagall's eyebrows furrow before looking at Dumbledore. Dumbledore wasn't looking at McGonagall but Stephanie, his eyes were burning her head before he blinked. His eyes widened as he looked at McGonagall then back to Stephanie with a concerned face. McGonagall must've taken notice of Dumbledore face as she put a hand on Stephanie's shoulders.
"We must be going dear, I'll let Potter and the others know they are able to visit. Please rest, I'll see you soon." Before she could say anything both Dumbledore and McGonagall leave, Stephanie couldn't stop but think about why Dumbledore's face turned into such a concerned face. Stephanie sighed as she laid back down, his face. It was like a nightmare but it felt so real, his voice made her skin crawl and his stone-cold hands.
