"i’m sorry, why was that so hard to say back then?"

i still remember things clearly like it was just yesterday....

i was sitting on a chair near the information table, waiting for my boyfriend's monthly bill to process. well, if you would ask, he has cancer.

lung cancer, stage 2

things started happening to him three month ago. we were taking our afternoon walk when he had a difficulty breathing.

and a month after, we had a check up cause he's been having symptoms lately. that's when we found out, he had cancer.

we went home and he cried unto my arms. that week we decided to take him to the hospital. it's hard but for him i stayed strong.

he had tests those following weeks until now, three months later.

i sighed as i check our bank book, we had debts even tho were still young. we live together and decided to have the same bank account since we knew that we will be together for each other forever.

we live by our allowances that our parents give and we also work part-time.

it was lunch when i decided to check on him. i sat beside his bed and caressed his beautiful cheeks.

he was kinda pale but i don't care, cause i didn't love him for his looks. i love him because i love who he is. i ruffled his hair as a smile grew up my face.

"i love you"

i muttered as i kissed his forehead and went out the room.

i stumbled upon my stomach, growling as if it's a lion. i rubbed it gently before making my way inside the mall near the hospital.

it was only two blocks away so i didn't had to take a cab and just walk by foot. i arrived there as i found the place suffocating. the mall was packed more than a packed sardines.

i squeezed my way inside the crowd and sighed in relief when i found a good place to eat.

my sweat trickled down my face so i decided to wipe it off as i find a vacant seat.

i found one so i quickly sat down as i wait for a waiter to come and take my order. one came and asked me what would i have.

i ordered a simple meal and also a cup of water. he went back, so i killed my time by using my phone, scrolling throught posts.

a couple minutes later, someone stood right by my table as i see it's shadow by my side. i looked up to see a cute and adorable boy.

i think he's younger than me, considering the fact that he was looking like one.

my heart beat fast for a second when he looked down and asked me "is this seat taken" i gently smiled since i saw his worried face looking at me.

"no, not taken"
