These poems are not the best, I know. Some of them are probably mediocre. However, I do think they say a lot because these poems are snapshots of my life story and of my thoughts from a past I have overcome by now. These poems are not just a portrait of a girl suffering from depression, a self-harm addiction, and more. They are landmarks on the path I've walked towards where I am today. Read them and remember: hope is constantly there, even if you can't hear it speak. The whispers of misery always die down eventually and that's why we bother to live: because if we give up during the darkness, the reward for enduring it will never be ours.
