Jungkook groaned barely holding onto his Hyung. He had the older man's arms over his shoulder leading them out the restaurant they were celebrating his birthday in.
Yoongi had first declined his invitation for it but with much persuation and the fact that the girl he loved barely texted during 'her annoying space phase' as he called it, agreed.
It was a rather gloomy celebration. For some reason Jungkook wasn't feeling it. He seemed to space out during the whole thing spotting a look of regret while drowning down the many drinks his friend's ordered.
Yoongi was beyond gloomy. He got mad at everyone that insisted he should smile for the celebration. Yoongi got even mader when his colleagues asked about Mian's where abouts.
He liked Jungkook, maybe even loved him but he just wasn't happy in that moment.
Everything in his life was currently a mess. His work was piling up, he was barely eating anything decent and lacking some sleep in his system evidence from the heavy bags under his eyes.
This whole thing was eating him inside out. Literally.
He felt hurt, betrayed and abandoned.
It was worse than when his mother left him to fend for himself.
Yoongi had so far worshiped the ground Mian walked on and cursed the living daylights out of her at the same time.
He loved her too much and everyone knew it.
Everyone except Mian.
He couldnt help the bitter taste building up in Hus mouth.
Said girl's figure could be seen as she rounded the corner coming face to face with a tired Jungkook that was almost letting go of a very drunk Yoongi.
She was quick to at least hold Yoongi up on his other side before he slipped out of Jungkook's hold.
'Is he drunk?'
Jungkook only nodded. Too tired to give a smart remark. He would in future count this as his worst birthday, not because of Yoongi and his lovesick heart but because of the guilt that consumed him deep down.
He did something he wasn't supposed to. He slipped into something a friend of his warned him about.
This very guilt led him to not inviting someone very dear to him.
He just broke this person's trust a few days ago. He couldnt bare to look into his eyes the next time they would meet. The guilt threatened to drown him alive for the despicable thing he did.
He hardly noticed that Mian had already hailed a taxi for him. Jungkook slowly made Yoongi sit on a platform that stood next to the restaurant huffing in relief before looking at the tiny girl stood infront of him.
'Will you be okay?'
Mian simply nodded smiling.
'Yes, I'll get us a hotel for tonight. I cant take him to Namjoon's because Appa is there and home is quite far. I couldnt make it there this late.'
Jungkook nodded.
'I can help you get to the hotel.'
