As soon as the door had closed behind her, her legs gave in.
She fell.
Nothing.
There was no pain as she hit the ground.
As if her body was numb.
The only thing the woman felt was the unutterable grief, that had taken over her in the second she had lost her.
The desperate try to gasp for air to refill her lungs turned out to be useless, as the loss took over her last bits of physical abilities.
And then, she cried.
The tears found their way down her cheeks as she buried her head in her hands, wishing for a way out. Wishing for something to distract her from the events of the night. For a little bit of alcohol to intoxicate her veins. For someone to kiss her and to tell her, that everything would be okay.
For Rose.
But there was nothing.
No Rose. No alcohol. No one.
She knew she would never be able to love someone the way she had loved Rose.
She knew that no one could ever treat her the way Rose used to.
She knew, that she would never find someone like her again.
And she didn't want to.
