Ashton's POV
She sniffled a little underneath my arms, she's really hurt. She's broken, I can see it and it hurt me too. "I-I'm sorry." I whispered she shook her head no. "It's fine trust me...and I'm assuming you live with your parents right?" She asked sitting up from my embrace.
I gulped, "Um you see well no....I'm very much like you. When I was 4 my dad would h-hit my mom and I couldn't do anything about it. It went on up till I moved here. Now I don't know if my moms dead or alive anymore she used to do drugs I just don't know." I say looking down half of what I said probably made no sense at all.
"This world is so disturbing." She said with no emotion. I nodded, "It's not really the world it's the people who live in it. Some of them are beautiful, broken and kind people-"
I say looking at her.
"-and others are just cruel evil heartless people who find their pleasure out of hurting innocent people." I say. I haven't spoke about my family in forever. It brought back bad memories, I cringed as I remember that dark day when I walked In on my dad slapping my mom. 'It's all your fault, Ashton you didn't help her!' Those words have been haunting me since I could remember.
"Ash?" Lara said snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh yea sorry." "I asked if you wanna do something?" She smiled her dimples showing up on her face. "Yea sure, have any ideas?" I asked forgetting to hide my accent. "Wow what was that?" She laughed.
"Well I'm actually from Sydney, Australia I don't really like my accent so I cover it up." I say laughing. "ohh that's cool I like it talk like that!" She said enthusiastically. I raised my eyebrow but then agreed, "yay" she chirped. "Ok I'm bored." I say she nods a few moments later it looked as if a light bulb went off in her head. "Whaaat?" I say curious as to what she was thinking.
"Can we go skateboard and get TacoBell?" She asked it sounded like fun. But I decided to mess with her a little "Lara Miller are you asking me out on a date?" I say raising my eyebrow with a smirk on my face. "u-uh well no it's just TacoBell.." She said looking down clearly embarrassed.
I chuckled and we went to grab her skateboards. "Damn how many do you have?" I ask quite impressed by her nice skateboards. "Like 3 I like skateboarding." She smiled I laughed and we went outside. I'm not that good at skating, Michael is quite good at it actually. Speaking of Michael, what's up with him?
I shook it off and we arrived at TacoBell.
Lara's POV
I laughed at how cute Ashton looked while skating. I'll admit I'm pretty good at skateboarding. I learned it one day as I found a skateboard all abandoned at the park. I took Ashton's hand in mine he smiled. We finally arrived at TacoBell and it was only 1:45. Ashton ordered 4 tacos for him and I ordered a soft taco and we got a big basket of Nachos!
He of course payed, after I begged him to let me. I don't like people spending money on me. I'm more of a person who likes to work hard for their money, and actually earn it. I let this one slip by and thanked him. "Jesus Ash! 4 tacos in 2 minutes?!" I say shocked "I'm a grown man I need my food!" He says laughing.
"Yea alright." I say playfully rolling my eyes. We finished talking and eating so we decided to go home it was getting late anyways. "Okay, I'll see ya tomorrow?" He asks as we arrived to my house. "Yup." I say smiling "Are you walking home?" I ask he shakes his head. "Nah I texted Calum to pick me up he should be here soon." I nodded and we sat down just watching the beautiful sunset.
"It's so pretty." I whispered to myself "yea, like you." He said back. As cliché that was it was adorable, I found both of us leaning in and finally our lips connected. "uh so this isn't the right way to ask you this I guess but um you're really different and beautiful will you be my girlfriend?" He asked as we pulled away.
"What do you mean different?" I ask slightly offended. I think he noticed "No no no like a good different like you accept me for who I am and you actually like me and not just wants to sleep with me and you're gorgeous and a really nice and fun girl- he was rambling I rolled my eyes and cut him off by kissing him. He smiled and so did I.
No guy ever said that to me, the last boyfriend I had was a dick. 'Nick the dîck' I call him. "Yes I'll be your girlfriend, Ashton." I smile. He grinned and kissed me again. I heard a car approaching us and noticed it was Calum. "I'll see you tomorrow, lovely ok?" Ash said before giving me a quick kiss and hug. I smiled and said goodbye before going inside.
I sighed as I sat on the couch, I'm dating a great guy I thought. I got up and went to my room. I decided to call Darcy and tell her about today with Ashton.
Darcy's POV
After Calum dropped me home I went to my room and sat their alone. I wanted to call or text Luke but I can't remember? I sighed and decided to go on Instagram. Half an hour later I heard the doorbell ring. Apparently my sister and mum weren't home so I got up and answered.
"Darcy." Luke breathed, he was crying and out of breath. I felt my heart break into a million pieces. "Luke come here." I say and wrapping my arms around him we sat on the ground in my hallway. "I'm so sorry." I whispered into his neck. He whipped his tears and apologized too. His lips found my lips and my fingers tangled in his blonde hair.
His cold lip ring hit my lips he let out a soft moan. We pulled away after a bit, "It was hell without you." He whispered I nodded and kissed him again. "Darcy?" He says brushing his finger against my face in a gentle motion. "Yes?" I ask. "I am in love with you."
I froze, Luke loves me? Am I in love with him? What do I say? "I love you too, Luke." I say. I soon realized I was in love with him. We got up and he hugged me "please don't ever leave me again." He says "As long as you promise you won't leave me." He nodded and gave me his pinky. I put my pinky on his "Forever?" I say "Forever together." He smiles.
After that he had to leave, I sat down and smiled. I was about to call Lara when my phone starts to ring it was Lara. I laughed at the coincidence and answered.
"Hey!"- Lara
"Hey."- I smiled
"What's up?"-Lara
"Well..." I explained to her how Luke and I made up and stuff she seemed happy.
"That's good, I'm happy for you I can't stand seeing either of you upset honestly." -Lara I smiled and thanked her.
"So...what did you and Ashton do when we left?" I ask a smirk clearly in my voice.
"Oh we just had some food and skateboarded and then he uh..asked me to be his girlfriend." She said rambling
"AND WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" I scream through the phone.
She laughed and said "YES!" I cheered and soon my mum and sister came home so I decided to hang up. Agh, today was better then I thought it would be. Thank god me and Luke are good again it literally kills me not being able to talk to him!
