Falling

When stars from the sky, fell to the ground
No person on earth, was making a sound
The rustle of leaves, the ambulance sirens
The whistle of winds, the crashing of seas
All suddenly stopped, just for this point in time
When thy could look, hear, and feel, crystals from the sky
There were hundreds, and millions, hovering on the dirt
Floating on waters, discovering earth
All they've ever known, was dark, gloomy space
'Cept for that ball in the sky
With a bright, pretty, and colorful case
It did not look as it seemed,
Far too dark to be
That happy ball in the sky,
They once did see
They felt bad for the humans
Who were forced upon this place
They thought they'd much rather see how it looked on the face
So they flew back to the space
That they loved so very much
Promising that one day,
They would return to touch
They souls of the good
They felt deserved to see
The beautiful shell,
Of the dark that was, and would be

Truth be told, it was a beautiful sight
But they preferred their dark, dismal world of night
It's easy to get used to, they explained
When it's all you've ever known, how can you complain
It's been very well contained,
As it will be
You stars from the sky, did not need to see
This may go on, little may change
You should no longer think of it
As sad or strange
There's beauty in darkness, beauty in rain
That you may not see, but we do everyday

When the stars from the sky
Fell to the ground
They passed by invisible beauties, maybe to be found
If they just stuck around
