I collapsed in an armchair at the Burrow, tired out from a week of hectic work. Percy and Annabeth had come to visit and Annabeth was talking to Molly and Fleur in a corner, probably discussing her pregnancy with them. I recalled the day Percy had shown up at the Burrow in the midst of dinner, an enormous grin on his face, to announce that Annabeth was pregnant.
There were loud cheers and applause, with everyone making him stay for the rest of the meal and a drink. Molly had eagerly asked when Annabeth was due and given him a long list of advice to pass on to Annabeth. That had been nearly six months ago and she looked ready to pop by now.
To Fred and George's delight, Percy and Annabeth were going to have twins. A girl and a boy. The soon-to-be-parents had already picked out names, but they weren't going to tell anyone until the babies were born. Aunt Sally and Uncle Paul had also shown up a few days ago and Molly had spent a long time gushing about how it felt to be a grandma for the first time, giving Bill a fond look. Bill and Fleur now had two kids - Victorie, who was a year younger than Estelle and Teddy and Dominique, who had just turned one.
It was a bit of a surprise to see my child-like cousin mature over the few months Annabeth was pregnant and I can say with full confidence that Percy would be an excellent father. He was always hovering around Annabeth and practically waiting on her hand-and-foot. Their interactions were really sweet and you had to be blind to miss the fact that the two were head-over-heels for each other.
I smiled at the ring on my left hand, remembering my own wedding a year ago. It had been a double wedding, as Fred and George had refused to break their tradition of doing everything together.
They had even put a lot of thought and care into their proposals, going as far as to propose to me and Angelina on the same day, at the same time!
The four of us had gone on a double date, before splitting up. Fred had tied a blindfold on me and side-along apparated me to Hogwarts. It was the summer holidays and the castle was empty, so he hadn't had much difficulty in getting permission from Professor McGonagall to set up the Great Hall.
He told me how he had used a Pensieve and camera to take pictures of his memories throughout our years at Hogwarts and with Colin Creevey's help, managed to make it into a sort of movie that he projected onto an empty wall in the Great Hall. The Wizarding World as a whole had been making forays into the muggle world after the War and a number of muggle-borns and half-bloods had successfully managed to modify muggle technology to work in the presence of magic.
I had been so immersed in the movie that I hadn't even noticed when Fred had got down on one knee, a beautiful ring in his hands. He had just smiled softly at me, his eyes full of love and tenderness and asked, "Will you marry me, Mia?"
The first thing he'd done after I said yes was to kiss me. After we pulled apart, he whispered, "Estelle already called dibs on flower-girl."
"Wait, she knew?"
Fred laughed, "She and Percy were there when I went to ask your parents permission to marry you. I had to pinky-promise to not play pranks on you before she was okay with me proposing."
I could picture the pout on her face as she made Fred promise and it made me giggle. "She's too adorable."
"And she knows how to use it. That little kid is more devious than half the Slytherins I've known."
"I... can't dispute that. Does Molly know?"
"Does mum know about what?"
"This..." I waved my hand around vaguely. "Us."
"I think the entire Wizarding World knows we're dating, love," he smirked.
"Fred!" I smacked the back of his head. "I meant about you proposing."
