i rose from the green plastic chair as i saw two blonde woman running towards me, her mom and my own.

just as they reached my side, the doctor with the grey hair walked out and lifted his head from looking at his papers.

"are you family of the patient"

"yes, i'm her mother"

she spoke up and quickly dumped a bunch of questions onto the doctor. i could understand why she'd be worried, frightened even.

"the mother?"

"yes sir"

"could i speak to you in private?"

"sure, sure"

i was anticipating to see her. i wanted to see her okay and healthy again, wearing that beautiful smile upon her face and her eyes glowing in the sunshine.

"could i, um could i go in and see her"

"of course son"

i curtly nodded at him, quickly glancing at my mom who was giving me a sympathetic look. i turned around as the doctor took her mother into another room and my mom sat on the same green chair i had been sat in. i twisted the cold silver door knob and quietly opened the door.

once i was fully through, i closed the door as slowly as possible, trying not to wake or disturb her.

it looked as if she were asleep, so i pulled up a chair beside the grey tinted hospital bed. she looked peaceful, relaxed. like if nothing had happened. her cheek had a small cut and her lips looked plump, pale, and dry but she was still perfect; an absolute fallen angel.
