Where I'm From (Derrion Burse Version)

I am from grandfather's arms

raised under mother's gaze

matured over father's authority

I am from rolling corn

learned by still waters

fished for enjoyment, and caught memories

The birth of the ice roof racers

and the start of trampo-ball

videogames clouded my mind

hidden from "real" reality

I am from the background

shadows steadily fly over

brother behind bars of Fe

next one, farther along then year old milk

I am from the earthquake

a seperation of powers

in which my leaf limped to the other tree

Childhood's innocence lost its virginity

I'm from midnight skating

watched the resurgence of athletics

from which my greatest fear was revealed

Thoughts of failure

falling from father's sky

didn't want to follow the same railway

sisters' multiplications

sons' divisions

I am from many faces

all stitched together to make "I"

once thought a flaw, converted to the greatest asset

leaders now feed of this energy

I am from me

I am going to the lead

I am from the next page.
