It was the last day of senior year at UCLA, and a group of friends was very happy to finally be free from the world of homework, professors, and late-night assignments. To finally escape the shithouse, was a real treat for all of the seniors.

As everybody filed into the school for the last day, excitement was building, and everybody knew it. Everyone had large amounts of jittery energy radiating off of them.

Aniya Willis entered into her first class of the day, Biology. She shared this class with her two closest friends. As her Biology class began, her professor gave a speech.

"Well everyone, since it's the last day, it would be stupid to give you an assignment, so this final class will be a free period, feel free to do whatever you want, just don't do anything that will result in you ending up in the hospital."

The class cheered, and the professor smiled. Everybody got settled into their seats and began all sorts of last day activities. Some students were doodling, some others were going off to get snacks, and others were just relaxing, sitting in their chairs and listening to music on their phones.

Aniya looked around the crowded lecture hall and looked at her two best friends, a gay couple named Damon Tamarand and Jason Briggs. She remembered that Biology lasted two hours today, it was only nine in the morning, and lunch was at one thirty. She looked at her two friends and asked,

"Hey guys, do you feel like going to McDonalds? I'm hungry."

Damon and Jason looked at each other, then looked back at Aniya.

"I'd like to go." Jason said.

"Yeah, I'm starving, I only had toast this morning."

Aniya nodded, and the three of them got up, walked down the left staircase of the lecture hall, past the other students, and down to the professor, who was doing a crossword.

"Excuse us, Mr. Hayes?" Damon asked.

Mr. Hayes, who was their Biology professor and Jason's uncle looked up at them with a smile.

"What's up guys?" He asked.

"Well, we're all hungry, and we're wondering if we can head to the McDonalds down the block." Jason said.

Mr. Hayes smiled at them, and nodded.

"Go ahead you guys." He said.

"Thanks uncle Davi- I-I mean Mr. Hayes." Jason sputtered.

Mr. Hayes chuckled and sent them on their way.

The trio went back to their, put their backpacks on, and headed to the exit. They left the lecture hall, and went down the hallway to the deans office. If anybody left to go anywhere, the only had to check in with the office lady and tell her where they were going.

Once they got to the deans office, they opened the door and walked inside.

The deans assistant was sitting at the front desk behind the counter, talking on the phone with someone. She eventually hung up and noticed them, she looked up and smiled.

"Hi kids, what can I do for you?" She asked.

Damon smiled and said,

"Um, yeah. We're getting hungry, and we wanted to go down the block to McDonalds to get some grub."

She smiled at them, spinning around in her chair to write something on a notepad.

"Go right ahead, take all the time you need."

She let them leave and they went on their way.

They headed toward the entrance, Damon held the door open for Jason and Aniya. Jason kissed Damon on the cheek, and Aniya thanked Damon. Damon smiled and nodded.

Before going down the block to McDonalds, Aniya, Jason, and Damon decided to walk around for a little while, walking around the campus and talking to some of the other people that they knew and waving at others.

When Damon and Aniya heard Jason's stomach growl, they looked at each other and decided to finally stop walking around and get over to McDonalds.
