Chapter 3- protect

The party was already out of hand and it only just started. Tyler stayed by my side the whole night because he wasn't in a 'flirty mood'. Almost everyone was drunk except a few people that are already leaving. Party poopers. I went over to get another drink and a few guys that were trying to get me to dance with them earlier came over to me.

"Hey Katie wanna dance?" I looked over to Tyler to see if he could help me and saw that he was already making out with another girl. Traitor. I scan the room to see if anyone else could rescue me. My eyes stopped on Nathan, I don't get what his problem was but he was making his way over while shaking his head and mouthing 'don't' to me.

"I would love to dance with you, Max." I replied finally remembering the guys name.

We made our way to the dance floor ignoring the evil look from Nathan. We started dancing to the music and after a while i just dazed out and started to day dream. I snapped out of it when I felt small kisses on my neck.

"W-what are you d-doing?" I asked Max. We were still dancing, and I look over to where Tyler was standing and saw him start to make his way to me. Thank god. Tyler got to me faster than I thought possible because Max was suddenly shoved off of me. Then I realised it wasn't Tyler, it was Nathan.

Nathan pushed Max and he landed on the floor."what the f*** man?!" Max yelled

"She doesn't want you so f*** off before I make you!" Nathan yelled back.

"Hahaha." Max started laughing "but you see Nathan I want her." Max whispered as he plunged at Nathan with a knife. Nathan dodged easily and I felt sorry for whoever was standing behind Nathan, and then I realised it was Belicia and that was when I lost control.

I saw Tyler starring at me in shock. "Stop!!!" I screamed and there was so much power in my words that at first I thought everyone listened. Then I saw that there was a cup just floating in the air. Everyone was frozen. I stopped time.

I didn't care what I did as I stared at Max and I lit a ball of fire in my hands. He tried to kill Belicia and for that I had to kill him.

Nathan's POV

Everything was frozen. I have no idea what is going on. I look around and see Tyler and Belicia on either side of me and Max now frozen in front of Belicia. I look up and see Kate, what I saw scared me to death and back. What scared me was her eyes. Her normally beautiful eyes where pitch black. They looked completely.......evil.

I snapped back into action when she lit up in flames, at first I was worried about her then I saw the ball in her hand and was worried for everyone else in the room.

"Get Bel out of here!" I yelled to Tyler

"I can take care of myself you ungifted one!" She snapped

"Fine lets get Kate then" I said as I motioned for Tyler to move forward

"You can't only chosen can settle her down when she is in this state?" Bel yelled but it was muffled under a war cry coming from Kate's lips. Tyler reached Kate first and grabbed her arm only to scream out in pain.

"I-I c-can't touch her." Tyler said slowly

I didn't care I made my way to Kate and grabbed the same arm Tyler did. I expected to get burned like Tyler did but I didn't. Kate turned to me and at that moment I truly thought I was going to die. Then Kate's eyes went red then light blue. Then all of the anger and hate rushed from her and into me.

Kate's POV

I opened my eyes to screaming. What the hell is wrong with these people can't they see I'm trying to sleep. If they don't shut the fuck up I am going to jump up and go all ninja on them! I noticed that someone was crouching over me. It all came back to me. Everything. I jump up and push the person that was leaning over me away.

"Can someone please tell me what is going on?" I ask no one in particular.

I look around and take in my surroundings. There is about ten people standing in my living room that I don't know. One of them have Tyler pinned to the ground while they had my sister across the room, while Nathan is now sitting on the floor next to my feet. Everyone else is gone.

"We felt the power coming from this place and new the force was too powerful to me a normal gifted being. We then realised that it had to be a servant of the sire and if not the sire himself." A guy stepped forward, he seemed to be the leader of the group.

I had to say wow. I mean this guy was hot. He had black hair and his eyes really stood out because they were a goldy colour. He also looked like he worked out, a lot. If he wasn't threatening my family and friends I would definitely consider dating him. He was almost godly. Almost.

"Now we witnessed this young child here using magic against these human boys." He stated gesturing to Tyler and Nathan "so we have to take her with us"

"Listen here, leader guy I don't know who you are but if you touch my sister I will cut off your jewels and shove them down your throat. Got it?" How dare he threaten to take my sister away from me.

"Listen to her." Tyler yelled. I couldn't believe this people around leader dude were starting to nod there heads.

"He is using compulsion we will have to take him in as well." Leader dude yelled to his followers.

He nodded his head to some guys that were cornering bel. They started to move forward. I stepped towards them, mentally begging everyone to leave so no one got hurt. Leader dude stepped towards me and before I could react Nathan was on him letting out a war cry that reminded me of a dinosaur. Hehe.

Anyways, leader dude pushed him off with ease and came towards me again. Great now I gotta hurt his fine looking body. I shot a ball of flame at leader guy and he stopped it in mid air.

"Who are you." I screamed

He just smirked at me."your worst nightmare sweetheart. Now you may as well give up. Fire is my game." He lunged a wall of flames at me and I just let it hit me. There was smoke everywhere and his followers started to cheer. I heard a laugh and saw my sisters figure threw the smoke.

"You don't actually think that worked do you?" She tssted at them

They all looked at her like she was crazy. I blew all the smoke away by moving the air around me. A smile etched its way onto leader dudes face." So you control two elements, fascinating. So do I."

"Wait, wait, wait you only control two. Pathetic is what I think." I stared at him with my 'come at me bro' look. He stopped smiling and stared at me shocked.

"Haha I see what your doing girly. Good try though there is no way you could control all of our gifts." He laughed. He seriously laughed at me.

"Try me" I growled. Him and his men threw mindless things at me. From water to some thing that was supposed to make me sleep. I fought everything off. I felt awesome. The last guy stepped forward. He stared at me and a familiar sensation flew threw me. I think I'm gonna have some fun with this I threw myself against the wall and groaned in pain.

"Told you I could do it, I hope I served you well Demetrius." He bowed.

"Haha you really think that would work. Man I got you guys good, haha." I laughed

"Y-you control everything?." Leader man stuttered, I figured out his name was Demetrius.

"No, I am just awesome." I said

"Then h-how?" Dem-whatever said.

"Listen Dem- whatever it is. That is my secret and now I would be very happy if you would leave." I started to yell.

"Katerinia?" My sister muttered shaking her head."we are going with them."

"What no. Why?"I mumbled. I looked back at my the evil people and my jaw dropped when they were bowing.

"We apologise, chosen one." Was the last thing I heard when I blacked out.
