Burr's POV

How does a ragtag volunteer army in need of a shower somehow defeat a global superpower? How do we emerge victorious from the quagmire, leave the battlefield waving Betsy Ross's flag higher?

Yo, turns out we have a secret weapon; an immigrant you know and love who's unafraid to step in. He's constantly confusing, confounding the British henchmen.

He emerges from the tent and I holler across the field, "EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR AMERICA'S FAVORITE FIGHTING FRENCHMAN!"

"LAFAYETTE!" Everyone cheers.

He leaps into the crowd and shouts proudly. "I'm taking this horse by the reins, making redcoats redder with blood stains!"

"LAFAYETTE!"

"And I'm never gonna stop until I make 'em drop and burn 'em up and scatter their remains! I'm-"

"LAFAYETTE!"

"Watch me engaging 'em, escaping 'em, enraging 'em! I'm-"

"LAFAYETTE!"

"I go to France for more funds,"

"LAFAYETTE!"

"I come back with more guns!"

The crowd roars in triumph.

"And ships! And so the balance shifts."

We actually have a fighting chance at winning the war thanks to him.

General Washington, although not as rowdy as the others, joins the celebration. "We rendezvous with Rochambeau, consolidate their gifts."

Lafayette turns to the general and takes on a serious yet hopeful tone. "We can end this war at Yorktown, cut them off at sea. But..."

Of course there's a 'but'.

"... for this to succeed, there's someone else we need."

"I know." Washington admits. We all know exactly whom Lafayette is referring to.

"HAMILTON!"

Lafayette rambles on, as if Washington needs any more convincing that Alexandra is essential to this war. "Sir, she knows what to do in a trench. Ingenuitive and fluent in French, I mean,"

"HAMILTON!"

"Sir, you're gonna have to use her eventually. What's she gonna do on the bench? I mean,"

"HAMILTON!"

"No one has more resilience or matches my practical, tactical brilliance."

"HAMILTON!"

"You want to fight for your land back?" Lafayette challenges.

"HAMILTON!"

"I need my right hand woman back." Washington finally caves. I knew he would.

Lafayette's voice becomes increasingly urgent. "Get your right hand woman back. You know you've gotta get your right hand woman back. I mean, you've gotta put some thought into the letter, but the sooner the better to get your right hand woman back!"

Washington's POV

I sit down at my desk and prepare to write.

Alexandra Hamilton,
Troops are waiting in the fields for you. If you join us right now, together we can turn the tide. Alexandra Hamilton, I have soldiers that will yield for you. If we manage to get this right, they'll surrender by early light. The world will never be the same, Alexandra.

I send the letter. There's no turning back now.
