"So," he asks leaning forward on his desk, "what do you think you can bring to this school?"
"Um, well," Casey scratches her nose, "I am very good with all subjects. But, I think I could bring my history skills to the table. I plan on, if I get accepted, to study to be a history major."
He rolls his chair to a drawer and pulls out an envelope. He takes out the papers in them. He straightens out the papers, fixing his glasses as Casey shakes her leg rapidly out of nervousness.
"Your scores in high school were very high. You are in the top 0.001% at this school." He clears his throat as she nods her head
"Yes sir." She crosses her tan but freckled legs, straightening her dress
"You have a good record also. We'll call you." He smiles as they both stand up and shake hands
"Thank you sir." She sends a sweet smile. "Have a nice day." She waves
"You too." He smiles back as she walks out the door with a smile.

"How'd it go?" Casey's step-father asked, looking up from his newspaper as she slammed her car down shut.
They were lounging out on the front lawn because they thought it was a beautiful day outside and there was no need to be inside. That's what they usually did. Hung out in the lawn because it cost cheaper.
"I think it went pretty well. He really admired what I could possible bring to the school."
"Well, I hope you get accepted honey." Her mother smiles as she kisses Casey's cheek.
"Thank you mom. Well, I got to get ready for work." She breaths as she checks her watch. She rushes inside her home and quickly puts on her uniform.
She puts her head in a bun as she places her hat on her head. She looks in the mirror to make sure her everything is good. Then she grabs her keys and rushes out the door.
"Have a good day at work honey!" Her father exclaims as she waves to her parents, stepping in the car
"Bye! Love you!" She exclaims as the engines starts to run
"Love you too!" They smile as she drives off to work

"And here's your change." Casey smiles as she hands the woman her change
"Thank you."
"You're welcome have a great day ma'am." She waves
"You too." She replies as Casey turns around hears the bell on the door ring, signalling that someone has just walked in.
"Hello. How may I help you?" She asks not looking up
"Um, I would like a Casey kiss with a side of tongue." A very familiar voice rings with a smirk on his face. Casey chuckles and looks up at him.
"Hi babe." He smiles as he leans over the counter to kiss her. She leans in too and kisses him back.
"Hey sweetheart." She smiles, her elbows placed on the counter out of interest
"So when's your shift over?"
"How many times do I have to tell you Justin? It's over at the same time everyday." She scoffs
"I'm sorry. I just get all the memories of your beautiful face clouding my mind that I forget." He licks his lips as she laughs, hitting his arm
"That's was probably one of the cheesiest things you have ever said to me." She smiles
"But what about 'The stars in the sky don't shine as bright as you.'" He smiles
"Oh yeah. That was on our first date." She bites her lip smiling
"Yep it was." He smirks
"Well, I've got to get back to work. My shift ends... right now actually." She scoffs smiling
"Alright then let's go babe." He smiles as she smiles back at him as she gets from behind the counter.
"Grant! My shift is over take over the cashier." She says to him as he nods his head
"Alright bye!"
"Bye!" She smiles as Justin grabs her hand and rushes her out the coffee shop.
Few Days Later...
"Honey! A letter came in from the mail for you today!" Casey's mother exclaims as she rushes down the stairs
"It's the letter from the college." She breaths out as she holds it to her chest
"I thought they said they'd call." Her dad furrows his eyebrows
"I'm nervous." She pants as she closes her eyes
"I'm positive they've accepted you. I mean they gave us money to send you there." Her dad shrugs, placing his hand in his pocket as he looks at his wife
"That's right. Ok." She exhales heavily as she tears it opens
"So?" Her dad asks
"They...accepted me. They accepted me." She breaths out heavily and smiles as her parents hug her.
"I'm so happy for you! When do you start?" Her mother asks
"Tomorrow. But it's really close to here so I won't be too far." She sighs with a huge smiles on her face
