Sit Up Straight...

* Chapter 1 *

I woke up to the sounds of the birds chirping from the nest outside of my window, I sat up in my bed not entirely ready for the bustle of my life in its entirety. I stretched my arms out across my satin sheets, as the house keeper Linda ran through my double door in to my room.

"Good Morning princess Alayna 

She said with a warm familiar smile. "Good Morning Linda" I said through a yawn as I  reached for the ceiling to stretch. Linda rushed in with a tray of tea and biscuits sitting them on my side table. "Come on princess, Alayna." she said with a perk and swiftness in her elder demenor. 

"oh linda" i said slowching "just 1 more hour please" i pleaded with her 

          " Now now princess" she said wagging a finger with a knowing look "you know your mother does not tolerate your tardy" she said rushing to the windows to open up my curtains to a slightly ajar window. " i know iknow" i said, i pulled back my cover and swung my feet over the bed as i wiggled my toes in the plush carpet, i sat there for a moment and picked up my cup of hot tea as the steam permiated from the hot liqued and tickled my nose.

 i sat down my cup of tea just as my mother rushed into my room "Alayna hunny" she clapped and walked at a fast pace. "come on hunny today is such an important day, amoung all the others i suppose" i starred at my mother oh how she wanted it to all be so perfect, the perfect life, the perfect husband, the perfect palace, and of coarse....the perfect daughter. i sighed.

"Mother do we have to go see the dubets today?" i asked in anguish " now alayna you kno-"

"but mother mrs dubet talks entirely to much and god knows with her running on will be there all day" i said walking to the bathroom ajoined with my bedroom.   

"oh Alayna hunny dont think so much of everything" she said in the other room, i could practically see her shooing me off. "and plus this is the perfect opportunity to see Julian" she walked into the bathroom with a motherly smirk.

       "oh mother now you know i cant stand him in the least" i said standing in the middle of the floor watching my mother saunter all over the bathroom with her perfectly poofy dress all intact.
          "Now Alayna, i know you know that as much as you cant stand him it is in both i and your fathers wishes that you begin to catch eyes for someone decent and in the royal law". she said.

"But Mother isnt it fair enough for you that i already dont get a say in half of my lifes choices, at least let me choose a fiance,or not get married at all, i mean im not ready for marriage anyways let alone-"

"oh Alayna thats enough," a haulting hand raised. "Now" she saunterd towrds me and cupped my face. "please get in the shower and ill have linda pick you out a wonderful gown".  she starred at me a moment while longer and saunterd out the bathroom with her poofy dress following.

      I sighed rolled my eyes and went over to the shower ready to start my constructed day.
