The castle was beautiful. They had strung fairy lights that glittered like stars in between the branches of trees and the hunchback moon stood over the venue to complete it all. Adrien Wood had just launched his new brand, and he celebrated just like any other millionaire would: He hosted a party in his castle. "I'm so proud if you son," His father said as he pat Adrien's back. Adrien smiled gently as his father showed off to his jealous relatives. He hid years of sorrow and pain behind his soft smile, a smile that only she knew was fake. Its funny isn't it? His lifelong enemy knew more about him than his own family or even he did. Cassandra Eden was Adrien's worst nightmare, they've hated each other since they were children and never let their hate for the other burn out. Cassandra's and Adrien's family have been close ever since the two were born for buissness partnerships, so of course the Eden family was invited to the celebration. She looked ethereal, her black skirt cascaded from her hips and spilled onto the marble floor. Her chocolate hair flowed down her back like silk, and a black diamond necklace adorned her neck. Once the music had started, everyone had gotten into a circle to dance, switching their partners every now and then. Soon after Adrien found himself paired up with Cassandra, both of them groaning in annoyance. "Alight just get this over with and don't step on my toes." Cassandra hissed. Adrien rolled his eyes and continued dancing. Adrien suddenly began the feel the music and forgot about his surroundings, guiding Cassandra gracefully across the floor. Cassandra didn't question anything, it was af if both of them were in a trance. If you were watching you'd think they were a couple, they danced as if they had been practicing for hours everyday. Each movement seemed choreographed, every facial expression planned. For a split second Adrien looked at Cassandra, entranced by her beauty, and for a split second Cassandra looked back, her hazel eyes twinkling. For a split second they forgot about everything, for a split second they put aside their rivalries, for a split second they basked in each others presence; for a split second, they were in love...
