Bestfriends....enemy's

Chapter 1

'Mum! Where's my p.e kit!?'
'Mum! Where's my lunch!?'
'Mum! Can I have a lift to school!?'
Ruby and Robbie shouted and rushed around trying to find all their school things for the boring Monday morning .Ruby's mum came running down the stairs and just said, 'stop! Everyone please just stop! I am the only one who does everything in this house! Please just try and do things yourself! Okay,ruby dad will take you and Robbie to school and your p.e kit is on the stairs,Robbie your lunch is in the fridge, okay now hurry!'
Mum was quite grumpy but to be fair it's Monday morning! Isn't everyone like that? Anyway I walked out the door with my pink and black dotted backpack on one shoulder and my skirt blowing side to side in the breeze. It was a cold crisp day but I had my thick green coat on.

Chapter 2

I went into the big red gates that entered to the hell! I went to the lunch area where I always meet my bestfriend Lucy at 8:20 every morning. She didt quite look like her self this morning and I didt know what was up with her? I walked begrudgingly over to her and said, 'good morning Lucy! How are you?'
There was silence for a couple of seconds,but then she answered back and said,
'Why do you care!'
I was shocked! Lucy has never ever been like this ever in her whole entire life!
'Lucy come on I know something's wrong,please tell me I'm your bestfriend and I always have been so please tell me'
My face drooped as I talked.
'Ruby leave me alone! Please I can't deal with this at the moment!!'
I left as a piece of my heart had disappeared,I can't belive Lucy would keep a secret from me we never have before!

Chapter 3

It was lesson 2 because Lucy isn't in my first lesson,I went over to her and said
'Lucy can you just tell me what's wrong?'
'Miss Green can you please return to your seat ready for the lesson' said Mr Robinson,he's a nice teacher really but I think he picks favourites because he doesn't really like me but oh well.
All lesson I was staring at Lucy till she looked back at me. I looked at the clock it was 10:50,five minutes till break, I looked back at Lucy and she looked at me and told me to meet her outside the classroom after lesson. The ball rang and everyone rushed out dropping books and coats and people getting pushed over!! Me and Lucy walked slowly out the class and everyone had already gone.
'Ruby,I'm sad because I have the feeling you don't like me and...'
'I don't like you!! I have kept asking why your upset! How could I not like you!?'
'My parents are going to get divorced and I'm scared so can you stop shouting at me!'
Lucy ran off crying while Ruby just slid down the wall and tucked up with her head between her knees. How could Ruby not like Lucy?! Ruby's crush walked past and said gently
'Hey Ruby,what's up?'
Ruby looked up and turned bright pink with star strucked eyes.
'Oh nothing don't worry'
'Ok then see you around'
Ruby's eyes started to water,she walked off with her head full of questions with unknown answers and she felt so dizzy.

Chapter 4

Ruby walked home in the poring ran,no umbrella,no coat no nothing just her and her bag. She searched for her keys and opened the door with water dripping on the floor.
'Hello rubs! How was school?' Mum shouted
'Good thanks' replied Ruby hiding the truth.
Ruby's brother Robbie was in the kitchen eating a snack because dinner is 3 hours away,6:15.
Dad comes home late so I don't see him that much. Mum came down and took my coat off and hanged it up on the hangers beside our front door and looked at me funny,
'Are you sure your okay,you know you can tell me anything I'm your mum?'
She said,
'Mum?'
'Yes'
'My and Lucy aren't friends anymore'
'What do you mean?'
'She thinks I don't like her anymore and her parents are getting divorced'
I started to cry and sat on the first step leading up to the bedrooms. Mum bended down to my height and said
'Lucy is your friend,how could you not like her?'
'Exactly.........'
