What were we looking at in the "Kiralık Aşk" series - an entirely fictional love story, or were real feelings, events and relationships intertwined in the story? Why were there so many moments of physical closeness between Defne and Ömer in the series? Because the scriptwriter Meriç Acemi fell in love with Barış, or because she realised that behind the fictional love story, there is a real one between the main characters that she decides to give a chance to?
We may never get all our questions answered, but one thing is for sure - the gossip, the intrigues, the rumours surrounding the series turned the lives of Elçin Sangu and Barış Arduç.
