October 31st, 1981:

*Lord Voldemort had learned of the Potters' whereabouts. Armed with this information, Voldemort traveled a long distance to their home in Godric's Hollow on Halloween night, which now offered no protection. Upon arriving, he saw James, Lily, Rose, and Harry in the same room, James playing with Harry and Rose.*

*Voldemort then entered the house with a frightening noise, confronting James as he burst into the hall. James then shouted for his wife to take the twins and flee whilst he held off the Dark Lord. But James had left his wand on the sofa, and was quickly struck down with the Killing Curse.*

*The Dark Lord then proceeded upstairs to murder the children. He found Lily and the twins locked in a room with furniture blocking the door. Faithful to one of his follower's requests, Voldemort asked the unarmed Lily who was guarding the cot where Harry and Rose sat to step aside, but Lily refused to move.*

*Voldemort then warned her several times, but she refused to stop protecting her children and continued to plead with him to kill her instead of the twins. When she did not move for the third time, Voldemort murdered her and then set his sights on the last living members of the Potter family.*

*Harry and Rose, who had until that moment assumed it was simply their parents playing games with them, then started to cry. The crying unnerved Voldemort and he pointed his wand right in the children's faces, Voldemort proceeded to cast the Killing Curse on the young twins, leaving a lightning bolt-shaped scar on both twin's foreheads, with Harry's on the left and Rose's on the right.*

*Voldemort then left, near-death and fatally defeated. The twins were found and carried off by a big bearded man to new safe and secret homes until they were old enough to begin their journey in defeating Voldemort. The man proceeded to take them to safety with the help of Sirius Black who had lent the man his flying motorcycle.*

*Harry was taken to 4 Privet Drive. 4 Privet Drive was the street address of the home owned by Vernon and Petunia Dursley. They lived in this home with their son, Dudley. Privet Drive lies in the village of Little Whinging, which was located in the county of Surrey, near London in the southeast of England. The neighborhood consists of a number of almost exact replications of the Dursley residence — row upon row of executive houses for executive people.*

*Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts(School of Witchcraft and Wizardry) first visited the house alongside Professor Minerva McGonagall and Game Keeper Rubeus Hagrid, who had just brought the twins over from Godric's Hollow, delivering Harry first to be put into the Dursleys care after the murder of his parents.*

*Harry wasn't the only thing that Dumbledore left behind him on this occasion: he also invoked strong magic granting Harry absolute protection from Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters whilst he was at the house, as long as Harry could still call Privet Drive his home.*

*Rose on the other hand was a trickier witch to place. She was quite the unique little witch who always seemed to be a light in the lives of her parents.*

*She always was recognized for her extreme kindness, and her stunning features. She had the face of both her brother Harry and her mother Lily, but her face was sprinkled with light freckles along the length of her nose and along her cheeks. Her eyes were green with hints of blue and brown. And her hair; the most recognizable of all, was like her mother's but more blonde than auburn.*

*Rose was placed somewhere that no one would guess of her whereabouts. She was placed in a home with a very special person to the Potter's. Remus Lupin, an old friend and fellow graduate from Hogwarts, took her in as one of his own. Her special aura allowed her to bind herself from any harm, which is the reason Remus allowed her to stay with him.*

*He loved her like she was his daughter, and she loved him like he was her father. Remus made her feel so loved and even spoiled her with magic tricks and things that she needed or wanted. Neither of them felt alone when they were together. They became inseparable; except during one night every month when Remus had to go far away to keep the girl safe from his curse.*

*Remus was turned at the age of 13 into a werewolf. Due to a Death Eater named Fenrir Greyback, he grew to hate himself for what he had become. Every full moon of each month for the rest of his life, Remus would have to forcibly transform into a beast that could kill anyone insight.*

*With Rose being around, it would be both easy and tricky for Remus to live with the curse. It was difficult to put Rose somewhere safe before he was forced to turn but was easier to know that he had her for when he would return. She always remained cheerful and it always put Remus in a good mood. *

*Until the twins' 17th birthdays, Rose and Harry would spend two very different childhoods. Rose began learning the ways of being a witch and how magic flows through everything in the Wizarding World. Remus made sure to teach her a little bit at a time.*Remus and Rose continue to grow closer as a pair as Remus waits for her time to go to Hogwarts. The pair would continue to grow closer as a family as Remus waited for his Rose's time to go attend Hogwarts.*

*However, the true story began 10 years later, as young Harry started a miserable morning by serving the Dursleys for his cousin Dudley's birthday before heading to the zoo for a day full of wonder and chaos.*
