Hey everyone! First thing first, This is my first book, so please don't judge. This first oneshot is inspired by  SonOfPoseiden11's oneshot series called Evil Ben, which you should totally check out right here: https://www.wattpad.com/935519974-spy-school-remade-oneshots-evil-ben

I loved it, but I also thought it was a bit short, and I really wanted to put my own spin on a "Evil Ben" scenario..

Bens POV:

I woke up in a prison cell. Or, at least, it appeared to be a prison cell. The room was dimly lit, so I could barely see the only two things in the empty cement block: The prison cot I was currently laying on, and a nightstand with a glass of water and sloppy, old, mashed potatoes resting on a cheap cardboard plate.

It took me a minute to remember the chain of events that lead to me being knocked unconscious and supposedly being brought here. I remember heading to my self-preservation class after joking around with my friends, seeing, rather oddly, now that I think about it, a small post-it note on the door telling the class that we would be having Self-Preservation outside, turning around, and.. blank.

That must have been when I was knocked out. I just had time to register all of this before I heard a familiar voice say, "Well, if it isn't the one and only Benjamin Ripley. Looks like we finally got you."

"Joshua Hallal." I said through gritted teeth.

"Yes?" He responded, clearly amused by my anger. "If you want to know what SPYDER's planning, don't worry. You'll find out soon enough."

Wait, What? I thought, That doesn't make any sense. Why would they tell me what they're doing? SPYDER doesn't like to leave loose ends. Me knowing what their plan is would be the biggest loose end of all..

"Ben," Joshua said, seemingly reading my thoughts. "You'll figure it all out soon enough. But right now, I suggest you get some sleep. You're probably exhausted."

As evil as Joshua was, he was right. I was incredibly tired, though I didn't know if it was natural sleepiness or induced sleepiness. I suspected the latter, but I didn't have the energy to think about it too much. I (quite stupidly, now that I think about it) wolfed down the mashed potatoes and the water, and fell asleep faster than I'd ever fallen asleep in my entire life.

Ericas POV (One Day Later):

It was a very simple plan: Zoe, Mike, Mom and I would knock out the front two guards of the abandoned school Ben was being held at, trigger the fire alarm to distract everyone else, rescue Ben, and see if he learned anything about what SPYDER was planning from his capture. It was a spur-of-the-moment plan, seeing as SPYDER had captured Ben out of nowhere, but that didn't mean it should have caused as much trouble as it did. It all started with the second step. Zoe was in charge of it. She just had to sprint to the fire alarm without being seen by anyone, and activate it, distracting the guards

But she couldn't even do that.

Halfway to the alarm, she glanced up onto the balcony, and then turned pale as a ghost, as though she'd seen the dead. She continued running to the fire alarm, but her eyes were fixed to the supposed figure on the balcony. I couldn't see said figure from here, but now all of Zoe's attention was on him or her. This situation would have been very unfortunate if she ran into, say, Ashley Sparks.

Which, unfortunately, is exactly what she did.

By the time I noticed Ashley, it was too late, even for me. Zoe slammed into her, sending her reeling backwards, and sending Ashley, being Ashley, into a double backflip in the sky, before landing on her feet.

Ashley took a moment to comprehend what just happened, but when she did, she did probably the least logical thing when around me.

She laughed at us. Not an evil laugh, but just the plain laugh of someone who thinks that something happening around them is utterly hilarious.

"You Jidiots!" She laughed. "You really think you can rescue Ben? Oh my god!" She was in a fit, putting her hands on her knees so she wouldn't fall over.

Mom shot her with a sedation dart.

Unfortunately, Ashley's unexpected fit of laughter had alerted all of the guards of our presence, so we were now running for our life. Zoe was still white as a blanket, but this time, ever so helpfully, she was quietly saying, "Ben. Ben."

Great. She's delusional.

We ran around a corner, only to be met with a dead end. More guards then we could take out surrounded us.

Well, this can't get any worse,  I thought. Never, Ever say that.

I heard someone snap their fingers, and the guards formed a space wide enough for one person to fit through.

I was sure I could and I would knock out whoever was coming to us.

Until I saw who it was.

Everything made sense.

Ashley laughing.

Zoe.

Right now, she was saying what we were all thinking.

"Ben."
