Rubber Bands

Levi scribbled furiously at his paper, almost enough to make a tear in it while he concentrated. An intense pair of green eyes watched him closely, smiling slightly in amusement.

"Calm down, Heichou. You're going to make the paper tear!" Eren leaned forward in his wheely chair that he decided to sit in backwards so his arms could rest on the back of the chair.

"Shut up brat and do something useful." Levi snapped, never once taking his eyes off the paper. Eren merely shrugged it off, he was used to comments like that. Completing a full circle in the chair, Eren thought about what Levi had said and decided on cleaning the windows for him (even though they had been cleaned twice already that day).

Eren retrieved the bottle of Windex and squirted it on the small square window in the corner of the room, wiping it down with a rag to remove any residue. Levi looked up from his work when he heard the spray bottle and he almost smiled at what he saw- Eren was cleaning without being told. Oh, yeah, and his ass miiiight have been in good view too but that's not really the point.

Unwrapping the rubber band that was holding together the next stack of papers on his desk, Levi watched Eren as he loaded his weapon up. Once aimed, Levi let go of the rubber band and it shot from his hand right at Eren's ass. When it made contact Eren leaped in the air and made a squeak of confusion. He turned around slightly flushed to look at Levi who was once again looking at his work. Eren forced down the blush rising to his cheeks and resumed cleaning the window.

Levi looked back up once he felt Eren's gaze move away from him. Readying his weapon once again, he fired and the rubber band met its target perfectly. This time Eren turned red faced and struggled to maintain his composure while Levi was struggling not to smirk and alert Eren that he was sending rubber bands at his ass.

Levi shot rubber bands at his ass three more times before Eren decides he had enough. He set the bottle of Windex down and glanced at Levi who was "working hard". He then leaned down and retrieved one of the loose rubber bands scattered around his feet. Messily aiming, Eren took a shot and the rubber band zipped past Levi's head, ricocheting off the wall behind him and landing on his desk.

"Shit..." Eren muttered under his breath. By then Levi had noticed the rubber band and was staring long and hard at Eren, most definitely thinking of a punishment for him. Levi had stared Eren down to a puddle of nerves before finally snapping the rubber band back at him. Eren caught it before it hit his face but it left a red mark on his palm and he hissed in mild pain.

"Hey midget." Levi looked up and anger flashed in his eyes but before he could punch Eren a rubber band came in contact with his left cheek with a loud snap. Levi let loose one of his rare evil smiles and whispered "oh it's on."

Levi pulled open a drawer in his desk while Eren scrambled to pick up all the loose rubber bands in preparation of the inevitable war now upon them. Within seconds both of them had a small pile in their hands and lining up the first shot. Their gazes held for a long time before finally Levi let loose on the first rubber band and Eren returned the shot.

"You'll never win!" Eren shouted while covering his head with an arm to protect against the raining, stinging pieces of rubber.

"In your dreams, brat." Levi responded while also being pelted by a storm of rubber. The bands continued flying and their breathing become ragged from the effort. Soon enough Eren ran out of rubber bands and Levi still had one in his hands, prepped for launch.

"Tch, told you." Eren looked back and forth between the rubber band and Levi's eyes with a blank expression. "What?" Levi asked, completely confused but keeping a stoic face. Eren smiled and took a step towards him, putting his hands in the air.

"What are you doing?" Levi asked harshly, rubber band still at the ready.

"Surrendering." was Eren's response.

"Wha-" Levi was cut off when Eren closed the distance between them, hands still up in surrender, and pressed his lips against his. Levi's grasp on the rubber band slackened slightly and Eren put his hands down the wrap around Levi's waist. Levi dropped the rubber band and lifted his arms up around Eren's neck to pull him closer and deepen the kiss.

Pulling back for a quick breath, Eren muttered "I win." against Levi's lips, then returned to kiss him again. All Levi could do was hum happily in response. If this is what losing was like, Levi wouldn't mind losing more often.
