The sea at night

The sea at night

Have you seen the sea at night

When no soul wanders around

When moonlight drapes everything

In a milky white except

For the black liquid masses

Restless movements of the tide?

Have you seen the stone-hard sand

A bittersweet memory

Of the happy sunny day

As the freezing wind blows by

And the ocean caresses

Its pale and worn-out borders?

Have you felt the dead water

Envelopping your senses

As your whole body goes numb

And melts into emptiness

Into the glacial empty

Emotionless ocean waves?

Have you heard them lately

When they fiercely hit the shore

As the thunderstorm pours down

Or did you close your window

Not wanting to hear from me

And my desert lifeless sea?

Have you seen my sea tonight

Empty black water covered in white

The midnight shore, silent waves

My forgotten empty place

The shore is my memories

Horizon is emptiness.
