Siren wailing as they waited as the spot they were meeting John B, Esperanza began to worry,"Dude, where is he?"
"Give him a second. He'll be here. He's coming. He'll be fine little wolf." JJ reassured her grabbing her hand comfortingly.
More siren wailing. The group turning to it seeing a police truck coming turns them, Kie turning to JJ,"JJ! Hey, yeah. Get back on the boat. Untie it. Shit."
"Wait." JJ froze,"No way."
"No f'ing way. I'm sorry." Pope said throwing his hands up in the air.
"You've gotta be kidding me."Kie laughs.
"Uh... Shoupe let me take it for a spin." John B joked.
"Okay. That's believable. I'll buy that for now." Esperanza said giving him a small hug.
John B pulled away from the hug and grabbed Esperanza's chin,“What happened to your face.”
"Ran into Rafe.”
"It wasn't easy, bro, but I got the Phantom for you, and she runs like she was made yesterday." JJ jangles the keys,"You ready to go?"
"Where's Sarah?" John B asked the group.
"She's not with you?" Esperanza questioned.
"No, we got separated in the swamp. She said she'd meet me here." John B explained.
"No, we haven't seen her." Esperanza shook her head sympathetically.
"Okay, well, I'm not leaving without her." John B pointed out.
"John B, look at me." JJ said to him, John B looking right at him,"I know you feel bad for leaving, but there's no time, man. You've got plenty of gas, plenty of food. Once you get around that point, it's a straight shot across the sound to Dismal Swamp, okay? Once you get there, lay low, all right? Hang out for a couple of weeks and then go overland, cross the border at Brownsville, you got that?" JJ explained.
"Brownsville." John B mumbled looking around for Sarah.
"You... Hey! You got that?" JJ asked him.
"Yeah, yeah. Brownsville." He mumbled again as the thunder rumbles.
"All right. Saddle her up, saltwater cowboy. Let's do this. Yeah." JJ said not wanting to get into a heart felt moment.
"Hey. Hey. I'm sorry for basically... throwing us off a cliff with this whole treasure hunt thing." John B said trying to hide his tears as Esperanza whimpered.
"Hey, John B, yo... we were bound to run off a cliff at some point, right?" JJ said doing the same as John B as they all laughed.
"Yeah." John B nodded.
"At least we did it together, though." Esperanza said to him with a soft smile.
"Pogue style." John B chuckled.
"Pogue style." She repeated as her voice began breaking,"Get out of here! Please. Now. We'll see you in two months, down in Mexico. Love you." She said waving him off.
"Hey, wait... wait a second." John B stopped and turned to her,"Tell Sarah I said goodbye, okay?" Esperanza nodded at him.
"Don't forget. Cross the border at Brownsville, okay?" JJ reminded him.
"Got it. Love you too, Little sis! Sorry I got you shot! And stabbed!" John B said backing out.
"Oh God." She exhaled sharply trying so hard not to cry.
"Little wolf we'll see him again." JJ reassured cupping her face with his hands as she nodded at him sheepishly.
