Bakugou felt it. He wasn't connected to the alpha in anyway but the baby and he felt it. His alpha getting closer by the second- wait not his alpha! Bad Katsuki, bad! He knew that the alpha was looking for him and that made a small flutter appear in his stomach. He sighs. He couldn't just show himself. He looked down at his phone and figured he'd have to change his number. 11 voicemails from the alpha he was running from... Hitoshi wouldn't know if he listened to them, right?... maybe he'd listen to just a few. With that he snuggles further into the bed and held the phone up to his ear. He just wanted to hear the alpha's voice.

"Katsuki, where are you? I'm in your house. You left the door unlocked. Did you know that? And... I found the test. Please call me back so we can talk about this."

Katsuki felt like a knife was being plunged into his heart and twisted around to worsen the pain. He bites his lip and let's the next one play.

"Hi Kats, it's me again. I'm really anxious right now. Can you please just talk to me?"

He plays the next one.

"Katsuki, I slept in your bed. I hope you don't mind. Your scent calms me down. I don't know how long it's going to be before it wears off and that alone makes me anxious. Anyway, call me back."

Katsuki's breath stutters. Oh how he wished he could have that alpha with him right now. But he didn't. He didn't have Hitoshi with him. And that made the pain worse.

He ended up listening to all of the voicemails over and over again. He couldn't get enough. Soon he felt a wet bead roll from the corner of his eye and onto his pillow. He stared at the ceiling breathing heavily.

"D-dam-mn Hor-horromo-mones..." he choked and sobbed. He heaved and sobbed clutching at his stomach. He groans and hiccuped taking in stuttered breaths. He sniffled. His nose hurt and his tears tasted salty. After a good 10 minutes he sighed, unable to breathe through his nose without sniffling. He didn't know why but he always loved the feeling that came after a good cry. It was like getting high. He would almost compare it to the afterglow of an orgasm. What the hell Katsuki? He sat up. Enough of this. Time to get to work. He stripped and washed his face putting on a baggy t-shirt with ripped jeans. He applied little makeup including a single stripe of eyeliner and some highlighter. He grabbed his wallet and his key card and headed downstairs. He called in a taxi and drove into the city. He needed a job.

Hitoshi and Kirishima didn't find him that day. Or the next day. Or the day after that. Or after that. They ended up not finding him for a whole month. And every time Hitoshi would be full of hope and every time they were sent back home with Hitoshi feeling like giving up. But he'd always rewind and start back up again. Kirishima stopped going with him eventually. But Hitoshi never stopped going to try and find his lost mate. This continued for another 4 months. Hitoshi stopped going everyday and instead went every week. And during that one time in each week, he'd search like his life depended on it. At the end of that day he'd feel dejected and useless. Another month goes by. Still no sign.

Katsuki would still get voicemails. And even after 5 months he would still cling to them. He always had that feeling that he should go back. Then he'd remembered why he was hiding in the first place... why was he...? Hiding in the first place...? He definitely had a valid reason... yeah that's right! He didn't want Hitoshi coming into his life and stealing his litter away from katsuki. Yeah... that was the reason... right? But hitoshi wasn't that kind of alpha... he wouldn't do something like that... whatever! No more thinking of alpha's. Back to working! Currently, Katsuki had found a job as a florist.  It was surprisingly enough to make a living but soon he'd have to get a better job when the brats came out. That's right. Katsuki was going to have multiple. 3 the doctor had said. Katsuki was going to have his hands full.
