"GUYS ready! Oh my god! She's coming! At a count of three, we will lit up the candles, alright." Janice instructs us what to do. It's Sab's birthday today. Well, it became a routine to celebrate our birthdays in a small side of our office. And each and everyone of us pretends that its a surprise, that we never do the same thing on our own birthdays. We will prepare a card, will make everybody write a message on it, we'll buy a cake, as if the celebrant didnt notice our preparations, and of course turning off the lights and when the celebrant opens the door, we'll lit up the candles and tada! we will all laugh while singing. We will take pictures and eat. Simple yet we are all happy. And that is one of the happiest moments of my life.
I am so thankful that I have these wonderful friends in my life. They always made my day. Our office is our second home. We are all happy here despite of our work loads. We still have time to laugh and stress is not our thing.
Sab is now entering the door. We are now ready. One..two..three..
Happy Birthday Sab!!!!!
As she expected..but she pretend she didnt know and started her speech..
"Thank you so much my dear friends. You surprise me guys. Thank you so much Carrie for my card, you really are amazing. For my beautiful cake, thank you MK and Lyka for your effort. For the foods Thank you Janice, you're an angel. For the decorations, Anne and Marie thank you so much. Marvin and Lance, thanks for attending."
We all laugh at her speech.. Then she blow her cake and make a wish.
"What did you wish Sab?" Lyka ask her.
"Secret" she answered.
"Geez you're a tease. Seriously, what is it?" Carrie asks while taking pictures of her.
"Well, you know guys, even if we always do the same thing, I never get tired of this because Im happy..we are all happy. In small things, we found ourselves laughing. Excitement never stops. Im happy to have all of you. And I wish this will never ends..I want us to be friends forever" Sab emotionally said.
We all look at her with smile on our face. We are touched in her speech. Im so happy to have them too.
"You know what Sab, even if you didn't wish that..it will happen. This will never ends because it's destiny. God make each and everyone of us to be friends forever and always." I hug her "Alright guys lets do the power group hug!"
"I have an idea" Carrie muttered.
"What is it this time Carrie?" I ask her suspiciously.
"Well, since summer is approaching.. Why don't we go to the beach? Oh! I love summer! She said happily while humming.
"Yeah, right. I love it too!" Lyka screech. "Beach! Beach! Beach!" Carrie and Lyka chorus.
"What do you think guys?" I asked them though I know they will agree on this. Well, its outing. Everybody love it.
As expected, they all agreed.
"So, what's the plan? I heard Point Dume is the best" she suggested.
"Alright, Point Dume it is!"
