As the sun began to set over Miyagi, Y/N's mother called out from the doorway, "Y/N, finish packing your things now. We have to leave for Tokyo soon." Miyagi had been home to the Fujii family, but times were changing, and Y/N's father's work required them to move into the city.

Y/N looked around her room, which was once full with memories of love and laughing, now all empty and dull, and felt a twinge of regret. It was hard to leave behind Karasuno and her closest friends considering that she spent most of her life in Miyagi. Tears threatened to spill as she thought about how life would be in Tokyo. However, she was knew that she had no choice but to face the reality.

"This just means there are better opportunities waiting for you in Tokyo, right?" The girl recalled what her best friend, Sugawara Koushi, had said to comfort her.

"Maybe you are right, Koushi." She sighed as she put in the last of her things in her bag.

The car ride to Tokyo was a mix of excitement and anxiousness. Amidst the quiet hum of the engine,
Y/N's stomach rumbled, and she couldn't help but request a stop at a drive-thru for a quick meal. Her parents gladly agreed understanding the importance of comfort during times of change.

"We could use a meal before a long trip so alright then," her father agreed.

Y/N was astounded by her new home's vastness upon arrival in Tokyo, which was a result of her father's success in the architecture field. With a strong intend, she started customizing her room, hanging posters of her favorite bands, decorating the walls with manga panels, and using LED lights all throughout the room. Her K-pop record collection was given a new home on a spotless white shelf.

The following morning, Y/N wore her school uniform and put on a classy pair of black shoes as the sun rose. Y/N couldn't help but feel nervousness in her chest as the car made her way through the streets.

As Y/N entered Itachiyama Academy, she inhaled deeply and greeted her new classmates.

"We have a new student, everyone. Please introduce yourself."

"Hello, my name is Fujii Y/N. It's a pleasure to meet you."

She walked to her seat at the back and a classmate touched her arm to gain her attention.

"Hey, I'm Zuki Akira, you can call me Kira tho. Let's be friends."

"Sure, I'm Y/N," she said, a soft smile projected on her face.

Akira was one of them, a recognizable face in a sea of strangers. Y/N felt a ray of hope as they struck up a conversation-maybe, just maybe, Tokyo wouldn't be too intimidating after all.

Y/N was determined to make the most of this new chapter in her life, even as the lessons she had learned that day began to blend together in her exhausted head. She realized that every second that went by meant she was getting closer to figuring out where she belonged in this busy city.
