I should've known...
The tears keep streaming and I'm at the point of hyperventilating. Everything feels hot, yet I still have goosebumps. My vision blurry as I run to no specific place, just as far as I can go.
I should've known that it was doomed from the beginning...
His eyes were like golden pools that lead to danger. His smell was intoxicating and addictive. His kiss was divine, yet full of venom.
I should've known this was too good to be true...
Nights full of glares and silence turned into longing stares and breathless moans. Death threats soon changed to beautiful promises of a future together. My enemy slowly turned into someone I adored.
I should've known the pain was inevitable...
Love soon turned to heartbreak and betrayal.

That night I was going to visit him in his quarter. As I approached something felt wrong almost like I was in a bad dream. I tried to shake the feeling and open the door. "Hello love, I came to visit before you go to sleep." I said while looking around his seemingly empty quarters. I start to walk around searching for him, peeking behind furniture. I approached his balcony to see him sitting out there with a man. "Love?" I say quietly to get his attention. "How stupid can a woman be honestly, she really thinks I love her." He says with a humorous tone to the man next to him. I freeze and feel like my soul left my body. How could this man who has shown me such affection say this. Yes, we began enemies but things changed. He must've felt my presence because he turned to see me standing there in shock. "Darling, I didn't know you were there, what brings you here?" He says while grabbing my hands. I quickly remove my hands from his and begin to turn away but he catches my wrist. "Why are you acting like this?" he says in a confused tone. Looking down at my feet I try to keep the tears from pouring out. "Do you love me?" I ask with a shaky voice. He grabs my wrist tighter and uses the other hand to lift my gaze to his. "Y/N what would make you ask me this all of the sudden?" He asks. Swallowing hard, I know that I need to confront him. Could I bring myself to confront him though? I have to no matter how much it'll hurt, I need that clarity. "Kylo, I was in here when you called me stupid for believing that you loved me.." I say with anger and hurt in my voice. His eyes widen a bit at my statement. Taking a deep breath he moves his hand to cup my cheek. "You must be mistaken, I didn't say anything like that." He says in a condescending tone.

I feel the rage bubble inside me as I process what he just said. Grabbing his hand and ripping it off my cheek, I ball my fist tight and say, "I can't believe you are trying to make me feel stupid! Kylo Ren I know what I heard and it's that you don't love me!" I shout at him. He looks at the ground and begins to chuckle a bit. "Okay, so I don't love you. What other option do you have? I'm the only man that has given you the time of day. Honestly you were so desperate you fell for your enemy." He looks up at me grinning. The golden eyes I once loved turned into cruel daggers. My heart feels as though it was ripped from my chest, this is when the tears start. "I'll use you as a warning sign..." you say quietly with heartbreak in your voice. He comes up to you, "listen you need me and I need you. We both hold things for each other, so let's continue this little arrangement. We can pretend to be in love and I'll have the power I desire from you." I turn around and walk towards the doors. "I don't need this arrangement, I don't need you!" I cry out. I hear him scoff and reply, "you'll have to run away or perish for this not to happen." His voice dripping with venom. I open the doors and begin to run, passing everyone in the palace trying to escape without too much attention on you. I can't  help but cry feeling everything crashing around me and the reality setting in. Once outside I see the woods and run straight into them. I know it's dangerous but at this point there isn't anything to risk. After running a while my legs finally give out and I fall to my knees.
