Chapter 7

Kang Ryu:
Everyone was tensed at the situation. The mood was depressing that even Namjoon was having trouble looking for solutions despite the fact that he has the highest IQ in the century.

"So, what about the zodiac sign?" One of the elders asked. To be honest, the elders always opposed to our idea which makes them annoying but surprisingly, they are being cooperative today. Probably it's because the King Phoenix is here.

"It is known that there are 12 zodiac signs but this time, we are looking for the 13 zodiacs. Additionally, looking for Libra will be a hell of a ride." Taehyung sighed.

"I second that. Libra is known to control space and time and is the key to save both dimensions if incase, we can't win." Namjoon adds information regarding the matter and was feeling gloomy.

"Wait, we all need to go back to the past if we can't win. What's the use of the other zodiacs if Libra is the key?" Another Elder asked, rollings his eyes. "You children really do want to complicate things."

"Let me remind you, I'm older than you humans." Taehyung glared at them as the other vampires followed. The Elders flinched and looked away. I secretly laughed since he got a taste of his own medicine for making the vampires angry.

"Now, now, it's not the time to argue this kind of stuff." Minjie laughed awkwardly. Everyone agreed and forgot the mini-accident.

"In regards to your concern Elder, the other zodiac signs can strengthen our forces and can raise the chance of winning. Additionally, zodiac signs are born to maintain the balance of both dimensions if both humans and vampires are unable to do their part." Taehyung eyed the Elder. The Elder just stared at him and closes his eyes while nodding.

"Now that's been cleared up, shall we decide which vampire or human will handle this mission?" Namjoon said. I can tell that he is relieved that there were no further questions especially we, humans been asking them for almost an hour now.

"Isn't that obvious? Of course, the vampire will handle this. Look, even though we've been training them to cast black magic, that's not enough." The Elder sighed while pointing at me as a reference.

"We're not fighting the devil. We are looking for the zodiacs..." Taehyung tried to hide his anger and did a pretty good job until he whispered, "Can't believe they are getting dumber when they get old."

I held my breath and took at the ill-tempered Elders and sighed in relief when they were not able to hear him.

"Well, don't we have the right person to that already?" Jungkook cheekily smiled while we raised our eyebrows in curiosity. "Of course we have me, Minjie, Ryu, Min YoonGi, and Jiyeon."

"No!" Taehyung quickly decline the lineup and hissed.

"With all due respect, the line up is perfect for this mission." Professor Min YoonGi yawned and shut his eyes as if he is now taking a nap but we all know he is still listening carefully.

"I agree. If you don't mind, can you enlighten us to share your reason for declining this?" Jiyeon asked. I was relieved that she finally spoke knowing Jimin is the suspect. She was sad at first but knowing that we don't have to kill the devil and just stop him until the Blood Moon is gone, she sighed in relief. In short, we just have to undo the ritual.

"Because... I-I am not included." Taehyung stuttered graciously which is a bit unfair. If I was the one stuttering, then, I would look ridiculous.

"Just admit that you don't want to be separated from Ryu or you don't want her to meet with other zodiacs since they are all boys." Jungkook teased as Taehyung glared making him shut up. As for me, I blushed.

"Well, you gotta admit." Jiyeon chuckled, also agreeing.

Taehyung ruffled his hair and said, "Fine." He rolled his eyes. The Elders purposely coughed.

"Then King Phoenix, how about we do a voting?" The Elders suggested and everyone agreed.

After the voting, it was then decided that the suggestion of Jungkook is the final decision. Taehyung growled and even hissed at me. I gulped and looked away knowing he will scold me for agreeing.

"Then the meeting is- fuck, I'm not in the mood. Just get out and do your stuff." Taehyung raked his hair and everyone chuckled. They all patted my shoulder and I looked at them confused.

"Good luck," Jungkook said.

"Be well, my dearest friend." Minjie sniffed as if she is crying.

"I must say, you won't get any sleep but that's not my problem." Professor Min YoonGi once again yawn and waved behind me.

"May you rest in peace." Jiyeon patted my back and run away before I could say something. Well, everyone else did.

I noticed that the Elders were staring at me. So, I asked, "What?"

They all came to me and get my hand saying, "You poor child, may luck be on your side." They said gloomily and run despite their age.

I was confused and looked at the murderous  Taehyung. I gulped at the sight finally understanding what they've all meant. Yes, may I as well be alive tomorrow.

"You see..." I was about to explain why I agreed but when gave that icy glare, I laughed awkwardly and started to step back as he moved forward. My back hits the wall as Taehyung leaned over while he placed both of his hands on the side, trying to trap me. I could just escape underneath but with his reflexes, that would be impossible.

"I'm waiting for that damn explanation Vasílissa mou and it better be good." He growled lowly.

"Ah, yes. Well... Jimin needs to be under surveillance and both you and Namjoon are fitted for that job since you two are one of the strongest vampires. So in case something happens, you two can stop him." I finally calmed down when his eyes soften a bit.

This boy really wants to hear how strong he is.

"I can read your mind Vasílissa mou. Might as well be careful." He smirked and licked his lips. Then continued while whispering into my ear, "You know, I can't hold myself for any longer." I blushed when he bit my ear lobe.
