Standing, supposedly working out. Lexie takes Lando's eye, as she walks into the mtc gym. Lando watches as she ties her long hair up and out of her face.
"Lando.. concentrate." Jon moans at him. "Yeah! I am." Lando moans back like a stroppy kid. But he keeps watching Lexie in the mirrors, her body covered in leopard print Lycra. "Lexie.. any chance you can come back in ten minutes... your putting Lando off." Jon asks her. She blushes. "Oh sorry. Am I not allowed to be in here when the drivers are here?" She asks him. She's lot long started and Lando has heard all sorts of back story for her.
"You are. He's just not concentrating. Go do a ten minute run around the center and I'll give you training session. That okay?" She nods her head at Jon and leaves the gym. Jon turns back around to Lando. Shaking his head. "Cmon man. Not her surely. I know you have a bizarre taste in women. But she's a single mum." Lando grins at him.
"What's bizarre about that? She's hot." Lando says forcefully. "Have you seen her outside of here?" Jon laughs at his younger client. "Yeah. She stays two doors down from me.. like always, everyone in the factory has helped her do up the house. Charlotte and Matt go over for dinner with her and Maddie." Jon stares at him. "Wait you know her kids name." Lando nods his head.
The first weekend he knew that she lived there, he went over with a little slide and outdoors toys for Maddie. Not realising how young she was.
Lando finishes his work out with Jon and they both walk outside to join Lexie on her run. But she is nowhere to be found. After a walk around they find her. She has found some of the other office workers and got them to join in jogging.
"You taking over my job?" Jon asks her cheekily. Which annoys Lando. "Right I'm going to go do sim work.. Lexie you needing a lift home? I can wait around until you finish?" Lando asks her. She smiles and shakes her head. "Actually could you drop me off at the nursery? Need to be there before 6." Lando smiles and nods his head.
Jon rolls his eyes at Lando, before starting to help warm everyone up.
"So Lexie what's going on there then?" Lexie looks confused at Jon. "Eh? Lando?" He nods his head at her.
"Nothing. He's my neighbor.. Zak helped me out of a shit situation. Helped me get the house for Maddie, a job. I'd not contemplate ruining it for anything. Not even Lando." Jon looks at her. "Situation? Not an easy break up then?"
Lexie shakes her head. "Not in the slightest. In just glad Maddie has my surname and not her dads. Otherwise I'd be in trouble." She tells him. "So you actually wanting to do a training session or will I just go do what I usually do." Lexie asks him obviously not wanting to continue the conversation.

Jon watches her as she walks back into the building. "How's the session?" Lando has text him. "She's left me.. I'll come see you." Jon ends up in the sim too with Lando. Just to watch his performance. "Did she say much to you?" Lando asks him, but Jon shakes his head. He's staying out of it.
All he can do is convince Lando not to do something stupid. As much as he would like to do naughty things with Lexie, it's not worth breaking the code with Lando.

Around five Lando runs down to Lexie's floor. Saying bye to everyone he passes. "Alexia.. you ready?" Her eyes flash dread. "Yeah. Just finishing an email. Lando. Please don't call me that." He nods his head, hopping onto the seat next to her. "Why? Isn't it your name?" She nods her head at him. "Yeah, no. It's Alexa. But my ex used it call me alexia when annoyed at me. Would prefer not to be called it..please." It's the most personal thing she's told Lando. It's usually giggles and stupid chats coming from him.
Once she's done, they walk out to his orange car and she's at the nursery within a few minutes. "You wanting to come over for dinner?" She asks Lando before getting out.
She hates being on her own, her anxiety has gotten so bad, even the million texts to her mam has stopped helping.
"Yeah. I'll need to leave early though. Said to max I'd stream with him." Lando does his usual large toothy grin at her and zooms off.
Walking home from the nursery. She already feels the pangs of doubt, self hatred, her loathing had became really bad again. Even though everyone at mclaren had been amazing. Zak had even sorted out a therapist for her and was making sure she went and didn't just skip out of them. She's relying on Lando's company way too much. Even though he stays two doors away doesn't mean he wants to hang out with single parent, who is nearly a decade older than him.
"Max wants to come for tea, is that okay?" Lando has text her as if she was his mum making their dinner.
"Dinners cancelled. Not feeling great." Lexie texts him back once in the house. She took a different route home, so she didn't have to walk past his house.
But he comes over anyway. "What's up? Lex. Come on tell me." He annoyingly knows when Lexie is being off. How the hell did that happen? When did that happen?
But here he is. Ordering food in and talking to her from the hallway, as she bathes Maddie. He eventually comes into the bathroom, sits with his back to the bath.
"Lex. You know I'm here for you right? I know I messed up, earlier calling you that name. I won't do it again." Lando tells her. Lexie nods her head, feeling overwhelmed by it and cursing her eyes for failing her. "Oh Alexa. Come here.. will she be alright for a few seconds." Lando pulls her into his chest.
"But why? Why do you want to be there for me? I'm not even properly on your team... I don't go to the races. Not that I can. I'm just one of the background people." She moans at him. Making him laugh.
"Cause I like you. I love being here with you and Mads. It feels like home here." He says. Instantly regretting it. "Argh Lexie. I like you. A lot. I know what your going to say. Probably the same as Jon but I don't care." Lexie wriggles out of his hold and looks at him. "Why?" She asks him, her eyes bright and curious. She glances over at her nearly ten month old.
"Can I kiss you?" Lando asks her.
