Devil's Heart

Ch.1: The Camp

It had been 2 whole days since the camp had last seen their leader. People were starting to get restless, for they were never abandoned before. The crew tried to stay their course. But the more time they spent without a leader, the more people they were losing. They were arguing over what to do about their food supply when they all heard a loud roar tear through the sky. They all grew quiet. Moments later, a large red dragon came soaring in. She landed and growled at them. The men took up weapons as the women and children cowered close to the floor. Daenerys landed and roared loud enough to make the floor tremble. Everyone stared in amazement as Akiza and Alec descended off of Daenerys. 

  The men grew brave and made their way closer, weapons poised to kill. Akiza merely smirked at their feeble attempt of intimidation and tossed their weapons to the side. 

   "Listen up and listen closely, humans. I, am your leader now. I have one goal. To conquer all of this planet. But, it seems a certain, dragon queen, is in my way. So i give you, a choice." she spoke, such power ringing clear in her tone of voice. 

   "Join me, and we will rule this world together. Or. You die."

  The people were fearful. No one wanted to die. But no one wanted to join someone they didn't even know. Akiza, was ready to just kill them all, when a small group of children stepped forward. Akiza knelt down, staring into their souls.

   "Do, we get to make a choice too?" asked one lad, clearly the eldest of the group. Akiza brushed her hand over his soft, curly hair, and smiled.

   "Of course."

  Some women began to scream and cry out hateful things. Akiza, did not like being called such things. She stood, and with the flick of her hand, sent two daggers straight into their hearts. Others cowered away from the bodies in fear. The children, to her surprise, smiled. They bowed their heads. 

   "We freely give our lives to you ma'am."

 Akiza knelt close to them.

   "Call me Queen." she whispered, before touching their faces. The kids souls split from their bodies as dark demonic magic took hold of them. They twisted and morphed, until they were hunched over, demonic beings. They had bones on them, like armor, with razor sharp teeth.

   "You, will be my assassins." she said, waving her hand to the side. The once peaceful children, now monsters, followed her command. Drooling black ooze from their mouth. The people seemed frightened yet intrigued. 

  Akiza looked at them, and smiled. 

   "I just want, you're unique power's and our bodies. So. Who's next?"

The people huddled together, scared of her. Scared of becoming those mindless demons. They threw rocks at her and backed farther away. The ground trembled beneath her as she glared her red eyes at them, fists curling. 

   "Fine. I always love doing things the hard way. "

The people screamed as her hand shot to them. Each person's soul and power was separated from their body. Akiza threw their little orb of a soul and their powers into a large jar Alec was holding open. Daenerys roared mightily as Akiza charged after the fleeing people.
