"Dad?"

I have to call my dad 'father' on formal occasions - for example breakfast.

"Adelaide. We need to talk."

"Oh, ummm... excuse me." Lleyton leaves my bedroom.

"Yes?" I whisper.

"You're getting older now, and your mother and I have been... Thinking about your future..."

I nod continuously.

"And we have realised that you'll need a husband soon."

I swear I have a peculiar face right now.

"You need a husband before you're 20."

"You mean... I have to... Have a... Husband... BEFORE I AM 20!"

He nods.

"What about Griffin? He is 20! He doesn't have a wife!" I rage.

"Yes. We know. We only just read the royal book. We told Griffin just before. He didn't react, he just stood there in shock."

"So what? Griffin has to find a wife in 3 months because he is 20 in 3 months?! Oh my gosh!"

I run out of the room with my iPad and I have no clue where to run.

Lleyton?

Griffin?

Georgie?

I dash past a few servants and they all have weird looks on their faces.

I finally get to the point where I collapse on the ground.

Georgie puts all of her things on the ground and sprints over to me.

"What's wrong, Princess Adelaide?!" She whispers.

I tell her everything and she looks at me guiltily.

*****

Lunch is ready and I'm starving.

Georgie really cheered me up.

I make my way to the table and things feel really awkward.

"I can feel tension." Harry (Harrison) blurts out.

{I like to call him Harry...}

We all look at Harry.

Harry tells Griffin one of his old jokes.

Griffin continues playing with his food.

"Okay. Some things haven't been told to you Harrison and it'll stay that way till you're 17."

I choke on some of my food and excuse myself.

I finally make my way to my room and plunge into my bed.

I cry.

And cry.

I should have a choice.

*****

I flutter my eyes.

Open.

Close.

Open.

Close.

Then I realise a familiar face.

Harrison.

"Harry, what do you want?" I say with a snappy tone.

"I need to know what's going on! Griffin won't tell me anything..." Harry looks distressed.

He comes and sits next to me.

"I... I just don't even know what to believe anymore."

I'm confused. "What do you mean?"

"Dad told me it was just some survey and Griffin told me it was a stupid thing that I don't need to know about. Please. Just tell me."

I look at him. "I can't!"

"You can! What's holding you back?!"

"The king and queen, okay? Everything is holding me back! Believe me, I'd tell you every single word that dad said about me getting married before or when I'm 20!"

Did I really just blurt that out? Oh my golly gosh. I did.

"What?" Harry has a frown on his face.

"Promise not to tell anyone! OKAY?!"

Harry nods and I give him a cuddle.
