CHAPTER 3 - period (Griffin Johnson)

Emily is Griffin's 12, almost 13, year old daughter. Griffin is currently 28 and the rest of the boys are between the ages of 13 and 16, and they are Emily's brothers. She is the closest to Jaden, he did all the things a mother would do, since their mom had left them after Emily was born; she said she couldn't handle that many amount of kids at the same time. Griffin handled it quite good, and he always had Bryce's help; that for some reason, since he was only 3, he helped him to take care of all of his siblings. Jaden was always sad that Emily was the only girl and she didn't have a mother figure to help her with "girl problems". So he always acted like the bigger sister or mother that Emily didn't have. This obviously lead to him knowing all of her secrets, but Emily didn't mind since she loved him.

Today's dinner is quite a mess, not for everybody, but for Emily...

Emily's POV

We were currently eating dinner all together. Dad had cooked some Mediterranean pasta, but it's simply pasta with olive oil and some shrimps.

Josh: hey dad can I put a little bit of butter or cream in it? They are quite dry with only olive oil...

Griffin: no Josh, eat them like that, appreciate the food from other cultures as it is

Anthony: please don't act like a chef, you look super ridiculous

Griffin: Im not aCtinG like a chef, I AM a chef

Quinton: please don't

Griffin: okay okay

We continued eating when suddenly I started to feel a bit sick and my stomach started hurting super badly. I didn't want ALL of the boys to know I'm sick, because I don't like attention, but luckily I was sitting beside JJ, so I just told him.

*whispering to each other*

Emily: hey J

Jaden: yes?

Emily: I'm feeling a bit sick and my stomach is hurting really badly

Jaden: are you on your days?

Emily: no, I haven't got my period yet

Jaden: maybe you have now...

Jaden: go to your room and check, I'll go in a minute

Emily: please don't tell the boys

Jaden: yeah, don't worry bubba

I tried to run upstairs but the pain was not letting me, so I just walked as fast as I could to avoid being noticed by any of the boys.

I entered my room and went directly to the bathroom. I checked and... yup, I had definitely got my period. I really don't know why but I just started crying, I didn't want to grow up.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door...

Jaden's POV

Emily went upstairs trying to run, but she couldn't. Poor baby was in pain. I didn't want her to grow up so fast, I hope she didn't get her period. She's my baby sister, I don't want her to become a woman so fast, she's only 12 c'mon like...

Griffin: JADEN!

Jaden: sorry, I got distracted

Noah: no shit Sherlock, he called you like a thousand times.

Jaden: sorry, what happened?

Griffin: where did Emily go?

Jaden: to her room
