My One Fear - Song

All my life, I have made excuses,

All my life, I have made up reasons,

But now I see,

The single fear for me,

I told myself to be afraid of the dark,

And killers,

And venomous thoughts,

And people in general...

But now it is so clear,

My one fear is now to light!

The stars blink in the night,

My whole life has been a series of made up terror,

Clearly now, so clearly is my one,

My one true fear...

My one true fear,

Brings me to tears,

I never saw it,

But to see it,

I had to want it,

I had to want to open my eyes and see the fear,

To see the terror waiting for me here,

It's the one thing that makes me want to fall asleep,

But the one thing that keeps me awake,

It's the one thing that sends shivers to my bones,

The one thing installed to my soul,

It's the one thing that turns my stomach,

And makes me want to go,

But I know that the only way,

The only way to escape is into darkness,

My fear will always be near,

And I can't fear my fear...

Because my fear,

Is something people love,

Something people worship,

My fear was so unclear,

Until I opened my eyes and let it in,

Now it won't leave,

But for it to go,

It'd take my life too,

And yet!

I am so through...

My one fear!

Oh, my one fear!

I do not fear love,

Or consequence,

Or regret...

I do not fear the darkness,

I do not fear my thoughts,

I do not fear the people or death,

No!

For my one true fear is life...
