Alyssa sat on her bed all day.
She would just stare at the floor. No one to hang out with, and no one to talk to.
She couldn't talk to her parents or spend time with them. Her mom hated her and was an alcoholic. Her dad had passed away years ago.
She sighed. Her life wasn't always like this. She also had an older brother seven years ago, but he ran away from home. Alyssa had been so happy since then, until her father died.

That night, Alyssa fell asleep. But all of a sudden, there were strange noises coming from outside. Like a car bumping everywhere, making plant pots fall. Whatever it was, Alyssa ignored it. She tried to sleep again but the sound suddenly stopped. Then it was eerily silent.
Alyssa was curious about what's going on outside, so she went downstairs. It was pretty strange for something like that to happen in their town. There was a noise outside, then all of a sudden it became silent?
As she walked down the stairs, she heard muffled voices outside. Alyssa froze.
There are people outside, Alyssa thought nervously.
She slowly stepped outside, and she saw a golden taxi. Alyssa wasn't sure if it was real gold or what, but it sure did look like it was real.
"BE QUIET!" A girl's voice yelled. It was too dark but the window of the taxi was open. "Queen Angelica won't let us do that quest yet! WE NEED TO FETCH ALY-" The voice stopped. Alyssa felt eyes staring at her from the taxi.
"Er, hi?" Alyssa said. "Um, who are you guys? And what are you guys doing here this late at night?"
There was a click, and there was light in the taxi.
There were two girls, one had blue hair and brown eyes, the other one had blonde hair and blue eyes. They both wore sweaters and mini skirts. They looked around eleven or twelve years old, Alyssa's age. So Alyssa thought maybe they aren't bad people if they're still that young. Still, she couldn't trust these girls just yet.
"Alyssa Vernal!" The blue-haired one exclaimed.
Alyssa froze. That is her name, but how did they know?
"Um, h-hello?" Alyssa tried her best to not stutter, especially as she was talking to random strangers. She wanted to show that she was brave enough to talk to them, she wasn't scared of them. But the truth is, Alyssa is scared. Alyssa is nervous, as she didn't know who they were.
"I'm sorry, but who are you two?" Alyssa managed.
"Er," The blonde-haired girl said. "I'm so sorry. My, um, friend did not mean to blurt your name out." She glared at the blue one, then plastered a fake smile. "Uh, right, Zalina?"
"Za- what?"
"Zalina," The blue-haired girl proudly said. "I presume you're Alyssa?"
"Yes, that's me," Alyssa crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes. "And, your friend here?"
"Oh, that's Enna!" Zalina grinned at the blonde-haired girl.
The girl named Enna nodded.
"Right," Alyssa said. "Well, now that I know your names, who are you two? And how do you guys know my name?"
"That's nothing important right now," Enna replied. "Well, we'll tell you later. But for now, we're kind of in a hurry so can you get in the car already?"
Alyssa frowned. She barely even knows these people. Why should she get in?
"Um, sorry, no," Alyssa replied. "I don't even know you guys, let alone trust both of you and jump into a car with strangers?"
Zalina shot Enna a nervous look. Like she was asking for help. But Enna just nodded grimly. "Oh-uh, well..." Zalina spread her hands. "We'll just take you somewhere. You know, somewhere nice...?" She laughed nervously.
Alyssa didn't really like living with her mother. But she didn't want to get in a car with strangers. If these two were kidnappers or criminals disguised as twelve year olds, she'd rather stay with her mother.
Soon, Alyssa's mom came out of her house, glowering at Alyssa. She looked drunk and she was holding a broken bottle. She had dirty, blonde hair and dark eyes.
People keep saying that Alyssa's mom looked nothing like Alyssa. But Alyssa actually thought she took from her dad. Although, all she knew was that she got her brown hair from her dad, but where did she get her turquoise green colored eyes?
As soon as Alyssa saw her, she immediately ran towards the strange golden car and sat in the backseat.
"ALYSSA!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "GET BACK HERE YOU MISTAKE! YOU'RE IN TROUBLE WHEN YOU GET BACK!"
Alyssa looked at her mom anxiously. She turned to Enna beside her and said, "We have to leave. Now."
"What?" Enna asked.
"DRIVE!"
Enna gave Alyssa a confused look. Finally, the taxi took up speed and drove.
"Alyssa, who was that?"
"It's none of your business," Alyssa glared at her. "Just because I joined in the taxi, doesn't mean I'll have to trust you two bloody strangers just yet."
"We're not gonna-" Enna cleared her throat. "Look, we'll explain later and you'll find out soon enough."
After that, it was silent for a while in the car. At least for several minutes. Until Alyssa suddenly screamed, and she looked like she saw a ghost.
"WHO'S DRIVING THE CAR?"
She was looking at the driver's seat. Except, there was no one driving the car.
