"Hmm.." Taehyung grumbled, waking up. He had cried himself to sleep unknowingly, flinching at the sound of a notification from his phone. He opened his phone to check.
It was Jimin.
Taehyung smiled before placing his phone down. It wouldn't hurt to go to one concert. It's not like Jeongguk would even notice him, it's been years. And it's impossible to be able to spot someone, even your ex, in a sea of fans. So, he didn't need to worry."If you're able to go through the concert without being in pain, that means you've moved on," he says to himself. There's no harm in going to a concert. Even if it's your ex's birthday concert.
Once Taehyung had stepped a foot outside his room, he catches Namjoon in the living room, watching television. "Hey Joon.." he waves to his cousin. "Hey, Tae. How was your sleep?" Namjoon asks, stuffing brownies into his mouth. "It was okay.. I feel more awake now," he smiled.
Namjoon noticed that something was off about his cousin. Still, he chose to remain quiet about it, not wanting to push his cousin into saying something that he clearly doesn't want to say yet.
"I'm going to Jeongguk's birthday concert," Taehyung said in fast speed, eyes shut closed. "Oh.. was it your decision?" Namjoon asks.
"Yes.. and no. Jimin asked me to go with him and Jin since they're die-hard fans, and I agreed. Is that fine?" the blue-haired finished his brownie before answering, "I'm not really bothered. He might not even see you in the crowd," Namjoon licks the excess brownie crumbs on his fingertips, getting up to place the brownies back in the fridge.
"Yeah... that's what I thought too, actually. Besides, it's just a silly birthday concert! Nothing that bad is going to happen... hopefully," Taehyung whispers the last word, gulping nervously. "You don't really have to be worried about me getting mad at you for that. Though, who you really have to worry about is Yoongi," Namjoon states.
"Why?"
"He's the one that's the most angry at Jeon. I mean, I was also angry but he was much more angrier than you, the one whose heart was broken," Taehyung nodded at that. "Just have fun at the concert, okay? Or not, I don't know? You can hate on his voice if it makes you feel better," Taehyung laughs at Namjoon.
"I mean, I wish I could hate his voice," Namjoon looked confusedly at his cousin. "He used to sing a lot in highschool, but only in secret. He would sing me tons of love songs. They were cheesy, but his voice was too good for me to stop him from singing," Taehyung smiles, remembering how Jeongguk would sing Marry Me a lot.
"Then.. hate on his dancing?" the blue-haired chuckles. "Wait- no.. no, he was actually really good at dancing," Namjoon says.
"Yeah.. he was good in everything," Taehyung states. It was true that Jeongguk was good in anything and everything he did. He was talented in singing, rapping, dancing and composing. He even remembered how Jeongguk wrote this one song that was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, Jeongguk never got to fully finish the song. But Taehyung still remembers the beginning tune and line.
"That faint voice of yours that grazed me. Please call my name one more time. I’m standing still under the frozen light, but I will walk towards you, step by step. Still with you."
The guy was indeed great in everything.
"Except he's an absolute fool when it comes to love," Taehyung whispers and Namjoon did not fail to hear it.
"Anyways, I'm just going to lock myself in my room for today. Goodbye," Taehyung stood up and sprinted to his room, closing the door afterwards.
