Year x774"Natsu, Natsu! Where are you boy?!" A deep voice roared as it searched for its target. The source of the voice would shock many however. The source of the voice is a gigantic Dragon whose bodily majority is covered with dark, red scales. Igneel's lower body, specifically his stomach, the inner portions of his long tail, and legs, are beige in color. He also has noticeable scars on his stomach and neck, with the largest one, which is X-shaped, located around the center of his body. His back has numerous black spikes, reaching down from the back to the end of his tail. The dragon also has a triangular head with horns, a pair of large, round eyes with yellow sclera (which are usually seen as glowing, obscuring his dark, round pupils) and a sharp horn pointing upwards just above his nose. He was also sports very sharp canine teeth, and has claws with long, sharp, red nails. The dragon's large bony wings resemble a bat's, with rippled tips. Additionally, Igneel has four legs.
Thus was Igneel, the fire dragon king.
Right now he was grumbling irritably while looking around for his adopted son Natsu. "Honestly I take one ten minute nap and this happens, stupid brat." The dragon grumbled while trying to find any signs of said brat.
"AHHH! WHY ARE THEY ALL SO DISGUSTING!?"
'Natsu?' The dragon thought recognizing his son's voice anywhere. Walking into the direction he heard the voice coming from he eventually came to the entrance of a large cave, something Igneel found very annoying. "Damn it boy." The dragon growled before letting out a roar. "NATSU!" He bellowed getting a sheik in return with an answer coming a few seconds later. "Igneel? Is that you?" A young boy's voice asked causing the dragon to snort. "Of course it's me you idiot! Who else sounds like me and knows your name? The dragon asked rhetorically. "Now get out here, If you're insisted on causing trouble we might as well train." Igneel ordered refusing to go into the cave as he waited for the boy to come out.
"Eh? But I can't right now Igneel.' Was the reply the dragon was given and if Igneel had eyebrows they would be raised. Natsu loved training, he was constantly pestering the dragon for more so he could get stronger. So for Natsu to say that he couldn't was odd to say the least. "Oh, and just why can't you?" The dragon asked skeptically.
"Because I found an awesome tree!" The boy replied before by the sounds of it taking a bite of something and blanching in disgust. Igneel just sighed and shock his head at this, of course it would be something stupid. Deciding to humor him. Igneel asked. "And just what is so special about this tree that makes it more important than training?"
"Well its...Uhh it's big and... uhh it's so...you just gotta see it for yourself!" Natsu finally decided after trying and failing to think of ways to describe it. Huffing in annoyance but tired of screaming Igneel relented and lowered his head so he could fit in the cave. "Fine brat, but this better be good." The dragon warned as he entered the cave. To his surprise however the cave soon opened up wide enough for him to raise to his full hight and still have room. 'What is this place?' The dragon questioned. "And what is that energy I'm sensing?' The dragon thought looking around the cave finding it surrounded by an energy somewhat like magic, but some how older and more potent.
Finally he saw a light at the end of the tunnel. 'Must be Natsu lighting some wood on fire.' The fire dragon thought as he approached the light and finally made it through he finally saw the 'awesome tree' his son was talking about. "It can't be." Was the only thing the dragon could mutter.
The tree before Igneel was colossal, easily towering over anything the dragon had ever seen, the truck sturdy and strong enough looking one could think it would survive the apocalypse with roots that seemed to be drilled into the earth itself with the leaves as dark and majestic, shimmering as if they were part fo the night sky. However what really caught the dragons attention where the countless glowing fruits that hung from the branches.
