Chapter 11:
Amy's POV:

I stared blankly at the page, not knowing what to do. C'mon Amy, you should know this! I thought, frustration boiling up inside of me. I looked around the classroom, and noticed everyone's faces concentrated on their paper, scribbling rapidly with their pencil.
I sighed in frustration, and stared at the problem, hoping something would come to mind. Thankfully, the bell saved me, and I was finally free. I turned my paper into my grumbling teacher slouched at her desk, and grabbed my bag from my seat.
I noticed Liam walking towards me, a smile on his face.
"How do you think you did?" He asked.
"Terrible," I replied, slinging my bag over my shoulder.
"Too bad," he smiled as we walked out of the door.
"What about you?" I asked, trying to keep up the conversation.
"I probably did worse than you," he laughed, making me grin.
"I'm not too sure about that..." I responded as we trotted down the stairs.
"So are we still on for tonight?" Liam asked me, referring to the science project we were supposed to have already started.
"Totally!" I eagerly replied. If only it were something more than JUST working on a project, I thought. I let out a little sigh, causing Liam to furrow his eyebrows.
"You okay?" He asked, taking my hand with his, my cheeks beginning to turn bright crimson.
"Uh... Y-yeah. Y'know, I just... Uhh... Really don't wanna work on a project, that's all," I lied.
I gave Liam a fake smile as we exited the building and into the crisp, autumn air. Summer was changing into fall, causing the leaves on the trees to turn golden browns and reds. The temperature had dropped dramatically, making me hug my uniform blazer closer to my skin.
We walked towards the direction of our dorms, watching the students loitering about. We casually talked about what we were going to do for our project.
"To be honest with you, Liam, I have absolutely no clue what we're actually doing in science," I admitted, causing Liam to laugh.
"Me either," he smiled. "But I think it's something to do with cells and plants. I'm not too sure."
We both laughed at his statement as we rounded the corner, our dorms coming in sight. We walked over to my building, and stopped outside of the stairwell.
"So... I guess I'll see you soon?" Liam asked.
"Of course! Let's say... at 4?" I replied, checking my watch.
"Works for me," Liam winked.
I could feel my cheeks start to turn a bright red, and it wasn't from the cold.
"You're adorable when you blush," Liam cooed, causing me to turn even redder.
"Thanks."
I couldn't help but notice Liam's cheeks turn a bit red too. I reverted my gaze from him, and looked down to my left, trying to hide the smile that was creeping up on my face.
"So, see you soon?" Liam asked, causing me to bring my head up to him.
"Yeah, looking forward to it. Bye Liam!" I waved as we went our separate ways.
