One day, my dad took me out to go fishing with him. I was a teenager at the time. I casted out my hook and immediately hooked onto something. "Dad! I got something!" I yelled as I started to reel it in. Somehow it tore off of the hook. (Nines point of view now) I rubbed my ear. "Oww." I said as I started to see blue blood around my head. "Shit, if I don't cover this up and get rid of the blood smell, i'm gonna get targeted by predators." I said as I started to swim away from the blood. I saw someone jump into the water behind me. "WHAT THE-" I yelled as I swam deeper into the water. All I saw when I looked up was a weird human like figure. I swished my tail away from their legs. What is that? I thought to myself. I swam up to the figure and examined it closely. I poked its leg. (Connors Point of View) I immediately looked down at what touched my leg. "What the hell was that?" I said.
"Hey dad?" I yelled back to my dad. "Yeah?" He said as he looked at me. "Do you think we could camp here for tonight?" I said as I started to swim back to the boat. "Sure, i'll just have to go back home to get some camping gear." He said as he started to fire up the boat. I wrapped myself up in a towel. (Nines point of view) I swam back to the cove that I like hunting in. I was followed by my older sister. "Nines? Where are you going?" She said as she caught up to me. "Jewel! I told you to stay with mom." I said as I stopped swimming. "But mom wanted to know where you were." She said as she looked down. "I know, it's just I was going to the oyster cove. After all, i'm really hungry." I said as I started to swim towards the cove again.
