From Mystic Falls to Hogwarts

The Letter That Changes Everything

I was sitting in the living room on August 1st with my brothers, I was reading a book while my brothers talked, when all of a sudden there was a crash against the window. 

All of our heads shot up to see nothing at first but then a little head popped up, it belonged to an owl who was holding something in its beak. I looked at my brothers who were looking at me all with confused expressions on our faces. 

I got up and went to the window and opened it, the owl swooped in and landed on my shoulder which made me jump causing the owl to fly off and land on the coffee table. 

I walked over to it and grabbed the letter which had my name on it, I again looked at my brothers who were looking at me. 

"Do you know what this is about?" I asked 

" Know idea what does it say?" Damon said 

"It says, Alice Salvatore with our address and on the back, it says Hogwarts I think."

"What's Hogwarts?" asked Stefan 

"I have no idea I thought you guys would." They both looked at the letter and shook their heads.

"Well open it, don't keep us waiting." said Stefen "I am intrigued"

"Ok ok, I will give me a second!"

I carefully opened the letter and read it out loud, " Dear Ms. Salvatore, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry" my mouth dropped open but I kept reading, " Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment, Term begins September 1st, we await your arrival but no later than 12 pm." I looked at my brother's whose jaws were on the floor. I re-read the letter again before Damon ripped it out of my hands and read it with his eyes open wide.

I looked through the envelope and found another letter, "Wait there's another one, It says Dear Ms. Salvatore, I know you must have a lot of questions about this and I know you are 17 but unfortunately because of your lack of knowledge about the wizarding world we have to start you in 3rd year with the 13-year-olds" I stopped and rolled my eyes, " because you are getting this letter it means you are a witch and you need proper training to be able to cast spells to the best of your ability, if you have further questions I don't normally do this but you are an exception and you will soon learn why, you can owl me back to when you can meet and I will explain everything to you in person From, Professor Dumbledor."

Damon then grabbed that letter from me re-read it then handed it to Stefan. After a few minutes of complete silence, Damon spoke up, "Well I don't know what to say really this is all new and confusing, but Alice I say you write him back and Stefan can you call Bonnie and tell her to come over." 

I then grabbed a paper and pen and started writing, 'Dear Dumbledore, I would like to meet with you to go over somethings I am free anytime this weekend to discuss From, Alice' I then put it in an envelope and gave it to the owl who flew away.

When I was done bonnie walked through the door looking really confused as to why she was called here but then she saw my face and came running over to ask if I was okay. Even though I am the same age as everyone technically older they all treat me like I am a baby because my brothers do.

"Alice are you ok you look like you have seen a ghost," said Bonnie, I just nodded 

She looked over at Stephan trying to get some answers so he just handed her the letter. After she read it she had the same confused face that we three had.

"What is this, I have never seen anything like that."

"We were hoping you would know," added Damon 

"I have no idea, I'm sorry," said Bonnie 

"It's fine I am meeting with the headmaster this weekend to get some answers, will you guys be there with me?" I asked 

"Of course,"  both boys said together, I just laughed while they glared at each other.

Bonnie then left but told us to call her if we had any other questions. 

Finally, the weekend was getting close and I was going to get some answers.

I know you're probably questioning why she has a letter and Stefan does not or why she even got a letter in the first place but it will be explained in the next chapter. Oh, and I know Alice and Stefan are the same age but Stefan still acts like the older brother, and technically he is still older.
