Betting your Heart (On Hold)

Chapter 3-I'm a father.

Kade's POV.

(Flashback)

Aiden was beating up some guy because he had bumped into him. I stand behind him with Sean and Marcus watching the whole scene and laughing.

Suddenly some girl screams stop. All of us look at her. She was a brunette with brown eyes. She was glaring daggers at Aiden.

But what really caught my eye was the petite girl standing next to her. She had black hair which was the color of the midnight sky which made her Hazel Green eyes pop out. She had a beautiful and innocent-looking face.

She was wearing a peach-colored shirt which hugged her perfectly and the red skirt of here sat on her lean hips. It showed a slight part of her long and lean legs.

She looked around the room and then her eyes met mine. Her beautiful green orbs were the color of young willow tree leaves. Her lips part slightly and she looks at me from head to toe.

I smirk knowing that she was checking me out. When she looked back at my face and saw that she was caught she looked away and closed her beautiful red lips. A slight pinkish tinge covered her pale cheeks.

She then went to hold that Nick guy who Aiden was beating into pulp. Pathetic creature. She made him put his hand on her shoulder and something inside me boiled.

I wanted to rip his hand apart. Wait, what? Why am I thinking like that? Jesus! Something is wrong with me.

Aiden then walked away after warning the brown-haired girl but I just stayed there staring at the girl with black hair.

(End of flashback)

She still has the same effect on me. She makes my body heat up and my heartbeat quicken. I was lost in my thoughts when a small girl climbs up on the seat next to me and settles down.

As I look at her I realized that she looked familiar. A lot. I have never seen her before but looking at her it feels like I know her. I have seen pictures but where.

She had brown hair that reached her waist. She had beautiful deep blue eyes which looked a lot familiar. What she next says shocks me.

"Mommy, can I have one more cheesecake?" She says to Raven.

Mommy? Raven's a mother? She has a daughter? Does that mean she moved on? Fuck! I then look at Raven surprised and puzzled. I glanced at her hand but didn't see a ring so that means she's neither married nor engaged. Phew.

Wait she may have a boyfriend. What about me. Whoa! Where did that come from? She looked at me but then she turns towards her daughter and places a cheesecake on her plate.

I look closely at the girl and recognition crosses my features because I haven't seen her somewhere, she looks like me. Those blue eyes, they are like mine. She looks just like me when I was a kid. She's mine.

She's my daughter, I'm a father. Holy shit!

Raven's POV

Blair plops down on the seat between Kade and me.

I guess he hadn't figured it out yet that Blair was my daughter. She was with Kayla's daughter Ria and son Xan. Their complete name is Alexander and Alexandria.

They're twins and they are so cute. Kayla has not told anyone except me who their father is.

Well the irony is amazing. We both were pregnant at the same time. And we both hate their father.

This is the first time I'm taking to Blair in the whole reception.

"Mommy, can I have one more cheesecake?" She says making her puppy dog face which was so similar to Kade's.

When we were dating he wanted to take me ice skating and I hated any type of skating so I told no and then he put on his adorable puppy dog face and finally convinced me. That day was fun even though I got a sprain in my ankle.

Sigh. Happy times. I wish we could do that again. Wait what. Bad thoughts Raven , bad thoughts. Think about Vincent.

I glanced at Kade who was staring at me. I averted my eyes and placed a cheesecake on Blair's plate.

Her whole face lit up and she took a fork and started eating her cheesecake.

I looked up at Kade again he's staring at Blair intensively. After a while a look crosses his face. It looked like the cat is out of the box.

His face then turns red with anger and he looks at me. His jaw clenches.

"Raven can I talk to you for a second. Alone." He says through gritted teeth.

I look into his blue yes which are dark with anger. I gulped and nodded my head. We walked into the garden.

He walked towards the fountain and sat on the chair opposite to it. I settled down on the chair as far away from him as possible.

"She's mine isn't she?" He says looking at we with anger and hatred in his eyes.

Happy new year. Well let's hope 2021 is better than 2020. But 2020 was good for me but whatever.....

Anyway so I just completed my exams and took some rest and here you go a new chapter.

So the cats out of the box.
