Chapter 34: Peace Treaty With Haven Inferno

I woke up to find myself back in my room at the palace. Nanikit ang mga mata ko at naramdaman kong masakit ang ulo ko. Umupo ako sa kama at hinawakan ang ulo ko. Nagulat naman ako ng mahanap si Ryker na tulog sa couch at mukang hindi pa siya umuuwi. 

Teka, ilang oras ba ako nakatulog?

"Ria! I'm so glad your awake now" kuya Kanon exclaimed and Ryker woke up because of that. He looked at me and smiled from ear to ear.

"Ikaw! Lagi mo akong tinatakot! Oo, proud ako na your learning from me pero minsan, kapag hinayaan kita ay kung saan-saan mo na lang isisik-sik ang sarili mo! Lalo na sa panganib! Nakakainis ka Ria! You made me so worried!" Ares yelled at me which made me pout. 

"Your too harsh Ares, let her be" kuya Loki said and patted his shoulder. 

"H-How long have I been asleep?" I asked and their eyes widened. 

"4 days princess" Ryker replied and my eyes widened. Wt! 

"I was asleep for four whole days?!" I exclaimed.

"I was so worried you know. I wasn't able to protect you. I felt so weak because of that. Parang ang buong pagkatao ko ay nakasalalay doon tapos hindi ko nagawa. I'm sorry Ria" Ryker said sincerely at sinenyasan naman ni kuya Kanon sina kuya Ares at kuya Loki para iwan daw muna kami. 

"Its Ok Ares. Hindi mo naman kasalanan yun eh. It was mine, I was too eager to battle with him, not realizing the peril and concern I was giving the people around me. I'm sorry too" I said and he smiled and kissed my forehead. 

"Ok. I forgive you princess. Come on, nagaalala na parents mo para sayo" ani nito at inalalayan ako papunta sa throne room kung saan nandoon sina daddy and mommy, and surprisingly ay may peace treaty na nagaganap. 

Teka..  To which kingdom is my dad having a treaty with?

"Haven Inferno" Ryker whispered which means he read through my expressions. 

"Why?" I asked him, "Your father thought that the Mythic god's reincarnation is slowly showing his true colors and he believes that he has joined forces with Jerga's reincarnation, Devian so he's forming alliances with each kingdom for a purpose to protect you" he explained. 

"Me? Why me?" I asked curiously.

"Because you've been targeted for so many times now. Haven't you noticed?" No, I didn't. 

"Daddy!" I embraced him, "I was so worried princess, from now on, Ryker will be by your side" Eh?! Bat ko naman kailangan yun? I can take care of myself! Exception lang noong nakalaban ko si Devian. Yun lang!

"Bakit naman?" tanong ko dito. 

"Its for your own safety darling. Hindi kami pwedeng kasama mo lagi kaya nakipag-usap kami sa father ni Ryker para sa alliance na ito at kasama na doon ang pagprotekta sa iyo ni Ryker. Besides, you two are a couple already" mommy replied and my eyes widened. 

"What?!" gulat kong bulalas. 

"Yes. Its obvious darling" mommy replied and smiled and a tear fell from her eyes, "Parang dati kinakarga pa kita, tas ngayon? You found yourself a man already! I'm so proud!" she said and dad comforted her. 

"I agree. Ryker has been.. hard-headed and cole but because of you Asteria, my son has changed a lot. He has learned to care again and to love again. You are his light" sagot ng daddy ni Ryker at napatingin ako kay Ryker na nahihiya kaya tinago ang muka niya. 

I had no idea what's going on here so I have decided to keep quiet. 

Bumalik naman sa discussion nila sina mommy and daddy kasama ang mga kaibigan nila habangg hilain naman ako ni Ryker papunta sa balcony. 

"Asteria, I have to tell you something important. I think its time I did this" he said and my heart started to pump faster and I was nervous all of a sudden. 

What is the meaning of this?!
