Arc 2: Chapter Two

I remember when you told me
You were scared to fall in love again
Still you found a way to fall for me

As things seem to get easier between Asuna and Kazuto's relationship, there becomes some things they need to decide on. For instance, their living situation. After thinking upon it for many, many days the two decide on moving into a bigger house not just for themselves, but also for Yui. The house has about four bedrooms, one was their own, one was for Yui, and they were still deciding on what to do with the other two. For future use, probably for another kid but for now maybe an office or storage. 

Still, despite them having such a happy and carefree relationship, Asuna was worried about one thing, and that was something Yui had told her awhile ago. About Sinon being pregnant. She wasn't sure if Kirito knew, and if he did, why wasn't he telling her? Did he not trust her? Or did something else happen? She wasn't sure, and she wanted to ask, but then again she wasn't supposed to know. And then there was the possibility of her actually being pregnant. 

If she was, she would bear his second child and they would all be a family. She'd have no choice to make amends with Sinon, and although she'd never strip Yui of another sibling, she honestly didn't want to deal with that. If the child ended up being his, she would want him to take care of it too though. 

Still, all she wanted to know right now was the truth and despite seeing him not only at home but also at work, she couldn't bring herself to ask.

It was like any usual morning. Asuna always seemed to wake the earliest. "Kazuto," she says softly, nudging him a bit. She watches as he stirs, but doesn't get up. "Kazuto," she says again, this time louder and shaking him a bit harder. One eye opens, and she can tell he awakes, but instead of sitting up he closes his eyes once again before wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her close. 

"Let's go back to bed," he mumbles, still sounding asleep. "No way. Yui has school and we have work," she says, slowly making her way out of his grasp. It helped that he was still half asleep. "I hope you're up by the time I get Yui ready," Asuna says, now heading to her daughters room. 

Unlike her father, Yui was much easier to awake. Asuna helps shower her before getting dressed and quickly after that the two head down to make breakfast. Like she assumed, Kazuto wasn't up and probably was just now getting into the shower. She decides not to dwell on it since they always seemed to be early and instead works out getting out eggs and bacon. 

"Can I crack the eggs mommy?" Yui questions, a smile on her face. "Of course you can," Asuna says, smiling back. Asuna quickly works on breakfast with the help of her daughter, and by the time it was done Kirito seemed to be coming down the stairs. 

"Good morning," he says. Yui's the first to run to him, wrapping her arms around him and into a hug. "Morning daddy!" Yui speaks. "Morning sleepy," Asuna says, referring to how he never woke up at the same time as them. "It's always so early when you wake me though," he complains. Instead she ignores his complaints and places food infront of them both.

Breakfast is quickly done, and everyone heads on for the rest of their day. Everything seems to go by quickly, and before they know it everyone's back home, dinner is cooked and ate, and everyone's in bed. 

And yet, another day as passed without her asking him. I can't keep this up. Asuna thinks, stealing looks back and forth from him as he sat and watched some TV show. As bedtime neared, he turned the TV off and cut off the light, the two preparing for sleep. But instead of sleep, he decides to call her name instead.

"Asuna," he says softly, only because it's night and Yui was fast asleep across the hall. "Hm?" she hums, turning around so that they faced one another. "Is something wrong?" he asks her, already noticing the fact that she wanted to tell him something.

"No...everything's fine." she lies, but he sees right through that. "You can tell me everything, you know. No more keeping secrets, right?" he reminds her. "Fine," she says, gathering the courage to ask him this.

"Before we had gotten back together...Yui told me something that Sinon told her. I want to confirm whether or not it's true," she says. "What did she tell her?" he asks, curious himself. "W-well...she told Yui that she wasn't your only child anymore, meaning that she's pregnant...d-do you know about this?" she asks. 

His eyes widen at the mention as the sound of pregnancy and as a sad look takes over his eyes, he nods his head. "You did..." Asuna trails, biting her lip to remain from crying but she can't. "I thought you said no more keeping secrets?" she cries, trying to stop herself from sobbing.

"I don't know if it's actually mine yet. None of the tests have come back and we don't know when...I wanted to tell you when I actually knew but it seems to only have been breaking you down." he says, grabbing ahold of her hand, hoping she wouldn't go. He couldn't go through that again.

"I just want you to know, Asuna, that even if she is pregnant, that you'll still be my number one. I'll love you the same and it'll still be us forever." he says, placing his forhead on hers. "I know that," Asuna begins. "And I also know that it's not your fault since we weren't even together...but I'll still love you the same, Kirito," she whispers, kissing his cheek before wrapping her arms around him and placing her head in the crook of his neck. 

"And?" Kazuto asks, waiting for her to mimic the rest of his words. She laughs, knowing exactly what he wanted.

"And it'll still be us forever,"

A/N: I haven't updated in awhile but I'm super sorry. I went on break the 18th of December so I kinda took the weekend off but I'm back. Hopefully the next chapters will either be for Christmas and/or New Years.
Needless to say, I hope you all enjoyed today's chapter!
I was actually going to buy the sao progressive manga this weekend but they didn't have the first volume in stock and they won't have it for awhile. I guess that's what happens when you shop late but I would never imagine it would be out of stock in my small town.
Anyways, do you guys want Sinon to be pregnant?
Why am I even asking you guys don't lol.
